Netflix just keeps getting better and better. So worth the $9 (?) per month.
Now they need to make it available to Xbox Live Silver users.

Kind of funny that I finally get my x files all ripped from DVD and now I could have just watched them (aka made my wife watch them) on Netflix

I have been making my own ghetto queue (the lack of a real queue is my only complaint about Netflix), and I can honestly say that I have more on my list than I'll ever be able to watch.
I also read today that Arrested Development will be returning to TV and will be co-distributed by Netflix and Showtime. I think that we will start seeing Netflix offering more exclusive content, much like the traditional networks. I also think that they will be snapping up the rights to more and more content as it becomes available in Canada. The relatively slow start to Netflix's content is simply because the Canadian rights were already sold to other entities, but they seem committed to acquiring rights to more content as it becomes available.

Some interesting items added for Canada, but it still has a long way to go to catch up with the US version. I just went through my queue on the US Netflix and checked which are available in Canada - only 12 out of my 58 items would be available if I switched. On the other hand there are a few newer movies that are Canada only (Black Swan, Dinner For Schmucks and No Strings Attached are the ones I noticed).
For the moment I think I'll keep paying more to use the American one but if they keep adding in Canada that could change.

I feel like re-watching Star Trek TNG and Star Trek DS9. Make it happen, Netflix!
Wow, does The X-Files bring back memories--I haven't seen these first season episodes since they first aired. I'm re-watching that show and The Dead Zone.

I just started getting back into Netflix. Isn't it available in HD?
The movie info says HD, but when it plays it is only in standard def.

I remember reading that they were scaling back to save on data consumption, is there a way to fix that?

You're able to change quality settings in the "You're Account & Help" section in the top right corner.
If I recall correctly, things play back automatically in HD on consoles, but you have to change it to allow HD on computers

Not to derail the thread, but I think The Inner Light is somewhat overrated.

Indeed. I must have a year's worth of television lined up.

I'm watching The X-Files as I type this: I don't remember Scully's voice being this annoying!

Like someone said it depends on your quality settings, but there are also movies/tv that aren't available in HD either. Most older stuff doesn't have an HD version.

Ok thanks. I use my PS3 for Netflix, does that have the "Your Account and Help" section?

I am away from home right now, but I seem to remember looking everywhere for a settings thing on the PS3 version and couldn't find it (I could be blind)

It doesn't seem to be automatic, because I was intentionally watching a HD selection, to see how well it streamed, but everything kept defaulting to SD.

I use Netflix on my PS3 as well - I believe that I had to change the settings on my computer, but I could be wrong.

That's correct. The quality settings are on the web site only, and will be reflected on your PS3. It used to be that it was simply HD and non-HD, but now you can choose from good, better, best or something along those lines.

I put my Netflix on hold 3 months ago and forgot about it and now Netflix automatically re-upped my account against my wishes.
Well since I'm stuck with it another month I've been watching the original Knight Rider and I love it.

I also just watched Love & Other Drugs which I originally thought was a screwball comedy with a lot of nice shots of Anne Hathaway but it turned out to be a really powerful quasi comedy/drama/love story with a strong message about Parkinson's disease.

The Walking Dead from AMC is nowt on Netflix. A lot of people were talking about this one when it came out, but I never had a chance to see it. Until now, apparently.
