If this video was actually taken in Okotoks, I'm guessing the pieces are far away due to being on the horizon for so long.

An additional video from a link from the first BBC link posted above. Reporter does mention Okotoks but sounds skeptical. I was just amazed they pronounced Okotoks correctly.

1/3200? Ok, I'm being a little belligerent now, but that does seem a bit callous. Yeah, I know that wasn't the odds going in.

Oh! and before you say they weren't lucky. 'They are scientists' and all that crap...

These are the same people who crashed a lander into Mars because they forgot to change Imperial to Metric.
