It's straight to Fuddrucker's for every meal when I'm in Saskatoon. No other restaurant matters.

No way, the Brentwood NIMBY's would never let it happen. All the surrounding roads would become "suicide stretches" where children would be mowed down constantly.

Brentwood's NIMBY's have no pull. Brentwood is kind of generic "whatever" neighbourhood, isn't it?

Not exactly, a couple of them (literally 2) have managed to delay the new University City condo towers by at least 2 weeks now due to them appealing on some amazingly ridiculous grounds.

Tony Romas, Eastside Marios, Montanas, all fancy fast food places with no drive thru, who eats at these places? sames as those who go to BPs I guess. I can't see how a lot of restraunts stay open, wok box is another one. Quilts etc, Fabricland, not many people sewing these days. Ardene, Dollar Stores (any/ all) how do they pay wages nevermind a lease and turn a profit. Oh and Zellers was another one but I guess that is going to be changing. Sears and the Bay have been struggling for years they gotta be next.

I read that article in the Herald and laughed .... you are 100 percent correct, some of the reasoning is crazy.

Half decent food for half decent prices. Wouldn't really call them "fast food places" and why would a place like Montana's need a drive thru? It's not McDonald's.

I used to live in Brentwood! i don't care about the neighborhood but i had the best house in there. It was right next to the 7-11! it's like having a slurpee machine in your backyard. so awesome.

If you live within reasonable driving distance, the season pass is a great value for families. It is definitely geared for the 13 and under crowd. If you don't live close, then I understand your point. However, their campground always looked to be full this summer.

Speaking of Malls, how is Deerfoot Mall still around? It has been declining for years and has been virtually deserted since Walmart built their own building. Throw CrossIron Mills five minutes away, and you have to wonder why they haven't given up yet.

How about strip mall computer stores? There is one in the strip mall by the Canadian Tire off Richmond Road that has boxes of parts from about 1999 in the front windows still. We are convinced that that store is actually a front for a money laundering scheme or something.

Westbrook sucks, the Ernest Manning kids and the Wal-Mart were the only things keeping it in business. Half the stores there sell drugs if you utter the magic word

The wife and I were just there on the weekend. Some interesting clientele in that mall. Not really a great selection of stores, although the wife did like some of the "outlet" clothes stores there. Personally, not a fan of the mall at all really though and don't think I would go back. Hadn't been there for some 20 years.

Smittys ... I have a feeling they are on the way out with the new advertising of the 9c wings and liquor.
Anyone choose Smittys over humptys or dennys?
