Yes, rolling on a set of wheels along a paved path is what defines a person as gay. It wouldn't have anything to do with dating someone of the same gender as yourself. The mentality around here some days...

For Cardio I can get into similar heart rate training zones compared to biking and running. Mountain biking 120-170 range Running 130-180 range and "rollerblading" 130-170 so the drop off isn't big. Factor in that it is low impact and I have yet to be injured rollerblading it seems to be a good way to cross train. Also builds muscle groups that are hard to hit and will make you a better runner/biker as a result.
I can't deny being out on the paths and having people give you the gay look though. It is a very strong stigma but not enough to keep me from hitting the paths. Growing up as a skater this is my excercising on wheels fix and is good for core/cardio/stability/balance etc. and besides it keeps me from being mid age guy on a skateboard Things from the 90's come back

It's cool, as mentioned before I have rollerblades somewhere in my garage too.
I've already lined up 3 dates for next week because of this thread.

It depends, if the wheels are attached to little booties then yes, yes it defines them as gay.

Man, when you take a sharp blade off something and add wheels to it, it sure looks faggy.

On a more serious note; there are a bunch of good recommendations for blading, skating, biking, hiking locations on travel websites like Tripadvisor, Yelp, etc.
Here's one

I have seen some replacement wheels priced locally at prices where it is almost worth buying a new pair of rollerblades/inline skates. Almost as bad as printer ink. Sell cheap quality wheels and wait for the replacment orders to come in.
