A lot of actors I know in Deadwood, unlike a lot of people who couldn't watch it because of the cursing, I simply don't give a damn.

I watched first 2 hours with my girlfriend. It was hilarious... as in it is so bad it makes you laugh.

Since I have made this thread I have ended up watching a ton of new shows, some good, some awesome (Breaking Bad, Chuck, etc.).
I started watching Fringe last week and I really like the show. John Noble really makes the show what it is. He really is an amazing actor.
I think I'll try and watch The Wire this summer. I didn't torrent it last year because the torrent was so damn big, but I'll start off with Season 1 for now.
Speaking of the sci-fi genre, anyone watch Supernatural? I have heard good things from some of the Spill.com crew, but have never even seen a promo for it.
Edit: Also, which arcs of Stargate are the good ones? Atlantis, SG-1, Universe?

Recently watched Season 1 of Game of Thrones. Really nicely done.....the hoopla is well deserved.
I've watched the first 5 (of 9) episodes of 'The Borgias'. There's something about the mixture of history, religion and Jeremy Irons as Pope that just makes it work. Definitely worth viewing.

I've been watching Lost with the girlfriend while there's been a little break in TV lately. We have 5 episodes to go until we're finished. It's so bad but I can't stop watching! I need to know how it all turns out.

I would start with SG1 as it continues from the movie. SGA is good as well and parallels season 4 I think of SG1. SGU is very different from the other two in tone. It's more like Battlestar Galactica.

Watched the entire first season a few weeks ago. Not quite on the level of Game of Thrones, but I think the main characters are on par with anything from Thrones. Always been a Jeremy Irons (Jeremy's Iron) and he does a great job as Pope Alexander.
Once again like The Tudors you have to accept the fact that not everything is entirely true, and many events are played up for the television audience, but that's not a huge deal.
Also any show with Machiavelli in it is worth checking out. There is a scene from either episode 8 or 9 where the Charles the VIII is entering Florence, and he has to deal with Machiavelli that is worth checking out.
Better than the Tudors, but not quite as good as Game of Thrones.

Believe it is based in the book The Family by Mario Puzo of Godfather fame.
Not a bad read. His last book he worked on it for years and years iirc.

I bet that once Machiavelli provide Charles VIII with a news round-up on a lazy Sunday they become best buds.

New show on SyFy called Alphas that isn't bad, it's like a cross between Heroes and CSI. Acting was so-so for the pilot, but that's usually the case, story was interesting. http://www.syfy.com/alphasseries/ (warning, website auto plays some video with loud sound)

Finally got the girlfriend to watch Breaking Bad. Started season 1 with her tonight and got three episodes in (I've already seen up to the end of season 3). What an awesome show. If she really gets into it I might wait to start season 4 until she's all caught up.

I finished Fringe a couple nights ago, what a weird show. Abrams really can't make a tv show that isn't convoluted as fata.
Just when you thought it would get normal it gets even weirder and stranger. Hopefully season 4 wraps it up well and doesn't have a stupid ending. No way that it gets a season 5 with its ratings, I don't even know how it got a third season.
I am downloading Beast Wars and Re-Boot right now, I haven't seen these shows in years and love them, hopefully they don't take 3 weeks to DL.

Anyone see that show Eastbound & Down? I caught some K-Swiss advertisement from the main character of that show and it was pretty funny. I watched some YouTube clips of the show that were pretty funny too. Just wondering if the show is like that.
Things I'd like to watch or finish:
- Fringe (still have 10 episodes left and then my PVR died so I need to download the rest)
- Breaking Bad
- The Wire (heard good things..watched the first episode...was okay)
- Boardwalk Empire
For those that haven't watched the Shield yet go do it! It's probably one of the greatest TV cop/drama type shows I've ever seen. Really really good. The final episode is great.
Also, Entourage starts in a few weeks. Looks like it'll be a good end to a pretty good series (though it hasn't been that great as of late).

Eastbound & Down is ok. Some good lines and a few laugh out loud moments but for the most part I could do without it, I think.
Breaking Bad, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire are all awesome, but in very different ways.
I thought last season of Entourage was great after about 1 1/2 - 2 seasons of crap. I hope they finish off on a real strong note, so the show doesn't leave a sour taste in my mouth.
While I wait for the girlfriend to catch up on Breaking Bad, I will start Season 2 of Treme and maybe get started watching Justified as well.

How romantic.
I would just start watching season 4, and ask her to bring me beer & cook me food.

Has anyone watched 101 way to leave a game show?
I can't remember a lower budget and poorly produced "reality" show in a while. It's painful. Makes fear factor look like an Emmy winning show.

Dexter is miles above true blood. I'd recommend Sons Of Anarchy and Breaking Bad. Sons IMHO is the best show on television, I love everything about it.
