From the Stamps video, looks like red pants are back in a different form, which is better then the 3rd black pants they were wearing the last couple seasons on the road that look like leotards with no stripes on them.

I haven't heard to be honest. I hope note - I like the classic look with stuff like this broken out for special games or what not.

Black pants were used the last few years as road pants.

Black jerseys were used a couple times each year, along with the retros which changed every year to go along with the CFL program. Not sure if the CFL is doing a retro thing this year or not

I grew up with Saleem Borhot and he's thrilled to be a Calgary Stampeder. Really it's the best case scenario for him.

Surprised he is a safety since whenever we'd play he'd always be the quarterback. He's got a very good arm too.

Sunday's Notes:

with real CFL officials on hand for Saturday’s scrimmage — all fully loaded with orange linen in their back pockets — there were plenty of, ahem, teaching opportunities arising from the video review.
“It showed how much discipline, or lack of, affects the outcome of a drive, and possibly the outcome of a game. That was the major lesson that the players are getting from it,” said Hufnagel after Sunday’s practice.

“You always have to start over in training camp. You have to remind them of the detail that’s needed to play winning football, and the lack of attention — which I consider to be discipline — are drive-killers or drive-extenders for the other team.”

On the injury front, the Stamps lost two players during Sunday’s practice as DL Justin Phillips and returner Larry Taylor walked off early, likely with a muscle strain of some sort.
But there was some encouraging news on the injury front as both OL Jon Gott and FB Jared Manchulenko are showing progress in coming back from concussions.

Also looking to get back on the field is DL Corey Mace, who could be taken off the injured-veteran list as early as Monday’s 9 a.m. practice after missing the first week of camp while rehabbing from back surgery. But to get Mace on the roster, the Stamps will have to make room for him by, quite likely, releasing a player.

BTW: The Stamps host the Lions on Wednesday night for their first preseason game. If you can't make it, the game will be on TSN or TSN2.

The stamps wearing black helmets regularly is an awful decision. Even worse than wearing black pants on the road as they have to several seasons now.

Road look should be: Red Helmet, White Uni, Red Pants.
Home look should be: Red Helmet, Red Uni, White Pants.

Other than retro games, or black jersey games, those combinations should never be changed.

Thankfully it starts on Wednesday and I can start watching real sports again and don't have to sit through another hockey game for 4 months

So is anyone actually going to go to the game on Wednesday? I have seats with three other people and they all have ditched. I can't give these tickets away. Is it lame to sit by yourself in the rain watching the stamps play with god knows how many people in the stands?

^Naw man if you enjoy it go. I'm going to the game myself - looking forward to it. Pre-season football isn't for everyone but I personally enjoy watching some of the battles for spots and seeing how some of the kids look. Since nothing is on the line you can afford to watch the game in a different way. For instance I like to pick a guy for each series and just watch him - what is he doing when the play doesn't come his way? If he's a receiver is he running tight routes?

I actually found a "lady friend" to go with, but if you want a couple extra tickets I don't mind giving them to you. You just can't sit with us cause you'll cramp my style. Haha. Nothing personal, well maybe it is...I don't even know you, but you get what I mean.

Agreed, or even wearing the white pants with the white uniforms looked good (I beleive they did this in the late 90s at times).

But Stamps coach John Hufnagel was reluctant to simply put it down to pre-season sloppiness.
“I don’t think you could ever classify something like that as just pre-season (issues),” he said. “I am concerned. But I do think that there are players in that locker-room who will respond.”

Stamps make 3 cuts:

three players were released on Thursday. Linebacker Terrance Stringer, who took that silly piling-on penalty, handed in his playbook, as did a pair of Canadians: defensive lineman Ian DeGannes-Shaw and defensive back Andre Clarke.
