Of course not. I'm saying that anyone with half a brain would realize, as you do, that I was making a point AND if one looked at the context of the back and forth between tranny and I, it would be clear I was not suggesting he was racist, just attempting to show how absurd his argument was.
Edit: just so we can put this to rest, I have no reason to believe transplant99 is a racist and if he honestly believes I was calling him one, I apologize.

Well I guess some education is better than none at all. If you have attended any credible institution you too would know the credibility of some sources. Thanks for the constructive conversation though. Now you can tell your parents you learnt something today.

Facts are observations. Conclusions can be drawn from facts, but facts themselves are simply information.
I found a clay pot, or a piece of manuscript that has this word on it, those are facts.
People are fully capable of believing things without facts, that doesn't mean that those things are true.
People still believe the earth is flat, or that they are being followed by the government in black helicopters, or that aliens abducted them and gave them an anal probe.

Who has a problem with people praying in a public ceremony?
They are free to pray on their own.
The prayer has no place in the ceremony but that doesn't stop people from praying if they want to.

To muddy up the discussion even more, not that we're really getting anywhere or doing anything that doesn't get discussed pretty much every month anyway...
I've never got Nihlists. Wouldn't it truly be technically impossible to be a functioning nihlist? Or wouldn't the process of becoming a nihlist really need to involve commiting suicide?
It's kinda like anarchists... has to be the most idiotic 'philosophy' ever. It's kinda funny to see what happens when an anarchist needs help or is involved in a crisis, or even just has something horrible yet, chaotic (anarchy based) happen to their life. They look for order and safety too.
As functioning animals, we can't survive, in truth we fight against even subconsciously, nihlism and anarchy.

What did I learn today exactly?
Sorry, I'm thick. I've never attended a credible institution.

Ok, so would you two please drop it then. You could have re-worded his sentence without making it look like he said it, the way that you did it could be construed as intentionally confrontational.
It may or may not have been, and you've gone back and edited it, so in the future please consider that.
transplant99, changing quotes to make a point is a common practice on forums and him including the portion that made it look like you said it could have been non-intentional, so it could have been resolved with a question before having to go to shooting back and forth.
In other words, both please take it easy and don't be so quick to whip out the knives please.
EDIT: Saw your edit above, thanks.

LOL! Wow. Do you know half the people you are talking too? This may be the most educated person on the board. If not, def top 5. I guess it depends which disciplines you value in education. Maybe one of the oldest too. (Sorry Ev)
The fact that you are resorting to personal attacks that aren't even close to truth in show your arguments have run out.

While, up until now, scholars have largely held that man's first rituals were carried out over 40,000 years ago in Europe, it now appears that they were wrong about both the time and place.

Personal attacks? Maybe you should backup a a page or two and see what set off my response! Educated or not doesn't give you the right to be an ###.

you won't get a solid understanding of a philosophy on an internet forum where people can't quit calling eachother names. your comparison of anarchy and nihilism is a little off because of the logical thought processes associated with nihilism and the emotional irrational thinking associated with anarchy
