He probably won't go to jail, and the DA has to decide if they want to re-try the three mistrial charges.
Roger and Lance are next.

There is Extra Innings, but it is only available in Canada if you have Telus or Bell satellite.
I buy mlb.tv and watch it through my PS3. No charge for the app from Playstation. You can also watch it through your computer, which is where I used to watch from. There are a few bugs this year that weren't there last year, such as if you want to hide all the spoliers, you can't jump forward in innings. They are working on it apparently.

I was looking at getting that for $20 per month. Can you watch from any computer (home or office) with your password?
I didn't understand the blackout rules. I assume no Giants games (home or away) would be blacked-out in Calgary. I think all Jays games are.

I am on MLB tv to follow my Padres, there are no black outs for Canadians except for the Jays (you get all of those on Sportsnet likely anyways). You sign in to watch games and thats all, I know I had to download a player though so you may have to do that if you are using another computer. Not 100% sure.
From what I have gathered you can also download MLB At Bat 2011 from ITunes and be able to watch games on your Ipad/Itouch etc provided you are an MLB tv subscriber, if not then the app is just for news and highlights etc.

If the At Bat app is like the one for smart phones. You will be able to follow games live (not watch), listen to games live, get real time stats, and up to the minute video highlights.
I have it on my BB to follow the Yankees. I can listen through my blue tooth on the stereo in my truck. Last week I went to Chase Field to watch a couple of games. Used it to follow the pitches during two games vs the Cards and Giants using the free wifi at Chase Field. (The scoreboard has pitch counts and pitch speeds at Chase Field, however At Bat will show location and pitch type ie. curve ball, sinker, etc. etc.)

Think things have been rough for the Los Angeles Dodgers given the public split between owner Frank McCourt and his wife? It’s about to get rougher.
Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that it is taking over the financial operations of the team. This announcement comes just days after it was reported that McCourt took out a $30 million loan from FOX in order to make the team payroll.

You can watch live games this week, thanks to Volvo. I have At Bat 11 on my IPhone and watched the Brewers/Phillies today at work

Tony Gwynn was one of my favorites back in the day, went for a trip to San Diego and watched the Reds series in September to witness part of the collapse in standings sadly. The experience there was great and helped bring me back into watching baseball. A lot of nice people work at Petco Park.
This year has been rough, came out of the gates looking good against the Cards but our offense is non-existent except for Hundley and a bit from Hudson and Headley. And then Gwynn Jr came to town and hits perfect, pissed me right off.

Unfortunately anytime your key three contributing bats are Hundley, Headley and Hudson you know you are in trouble. Even more in trouble when you take in account they play in a spacious, yet beautiful, stadium.
I would like to know how much money that place has made free agent pitchers the year after their time in San Diego. How Gonzalez had such an offensive impact in that park is well beyond my understanding. Guy simply raked.

A large stadium has some pluses, better shot at landing doubles and triples. The team is obviously geared for base hitting and steals to grind games but that isn't a good formula to rely on. Proof of it today during the rainout game against the Cubs, 16 bases stranded...and we lost in the 11th 2-1 from one homer.
Not to mention I feel bad for the pitching staff, just not much help for them. Especially Dustin Moseley, no wins and ERA around 1.38? Damn.

You are absolutely right, the team is built to go from first to third, steal bags and play small ball to win tight games. It is an exciting brand of baseball, hell Orlando Hudson already has 6 sb. If you could just put two bats in the middle of that order, would be a team that could challenge the Giants/Rockies for the NL West. Unfortunately them bats aren't coming anytime soon.
Hope Anthony Rizzo pans out to be that middle of the order bat we so desperately need.

Someone had already picked him up last week. Another frustrating night tonight too. 12/54 0hr 0sb 5rbi 2runs.
Have Matt Cain and Carlos Gonzalez and Rockies win 10-2, Cain gets lit up and Gonzalez goes 0-4.
All my friends who are in this its our first baseball pool so we are all on a level playing field heading into the season. We did a live draft online and pretty much just selected the next best player available.
The one guy in our pool who knows his stuff says that most of my guys are traditionally slow starters and should pick it up.

Here's a good column on the Dodger ownership situation, thank god McCourt is getting punted, that family has really sunk Dodger baseball
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...7011209.column
"A club that once used profits to purchase ice cream for employees after victories was being run by an owner who used that money on everything from lavish mansions to fancy haircuts. A club that once employed nine Hall of Famers was being run by an owner whose payroll included his children and a Russian physicist hired to channel positive energy."

Baseball commissioner Bud Selig expects the playoffs to expand from eight teams to 10 for the 2012 season.Selig went public last fall with his support for expanded playoffs, and the matter is subject to collective bargaining with the players' association.
“I would say we're moving to expanding the playoffs, but there's a myriad of details to work out,” Selig said Thursday at his annual meeting with the Associated Press Sports Editors. “Ten is a fair number.”

I know the money will be beneficial for MLB and its teams, and I understand it helps teams like the Padres and Blue Jays, but there is a huge piece of me that wishes they would just leave well enough alone. Probably in due time, I will come around to it, like I did with the NHL divisional re-alignment, but man - baseball is America's Past time, please just leave it as is. I wish they would worry more about getting the calls right on the field, and not how to maximize their revenue streams.

I think they have to add a team to the playoffs or add a true salary cap. I would prefer the extra team in the playoffs than a salary cap.
