I don't think a lot of people here are sharing stories hoping that everyone buys into believe that ghosts are real, I think a lot are just sharing pretty neat coincidences. I am a huge skeptic of many things, obviously ghosts included, but sometimes it is kind of fun to just ponder the weird circumstances that arise sometimes.
Kind of like how I wish there were gods, just not the christian one, but the greek ones. How come modern gods aren't nearly as cool?

You can try switching to Hinduism, Taoism, Shinto, Wicca, etc. There are active polytheistic religions out there, it's just that they get ignored all the time in the god or no god debates.

I thought it was pretty cool how the middle piece would move around, but assumed that someone was always intentionality moving it.
After asking a few questions, and talking to the same 'spirit' for a while, someone decide to ask the spirit to give us a sign that they were actually there. There were about 5 of us in the house all in the kitchen, when the stereo in a room that was all the way across the house in a bedroom turned on full blast. All of us immediately ran out the house, and I personally never went back in the house ever again. One of the people that lived there finally had the guts to go inside after about 20mins to go turn it off.
Never saw a ghost at all but that is the closest I've probably come/want to be to the supernatural.
|
Was it the guy that had the remote and turned on the stereo?
Of course I (or anyone else) hasn't seen a ghost because they don't exist.

Ive seen a ghost before woke up in the middle of the night tucked in bed, just my head out of the blankets and this guy dressed all in dark clothes, bushy eyebrows with this really unpleasant glare, like he was there to do no good was just standing in front of my closed white closet doors. I freaked out I closed my eyes and opened them and he was still there, I really thought someone broke into my place and was standing watching me in my bedroom. My heart was beating out of my chest and I felt helpless cause my arms were underneath the blanket.
Then the ghost walked towards me and bent over putting his face in mine with this evil glare. I couldn't speak I was that scared just froze in my bed, then he disappeared. GONE
never forget it
turned on the lights went to th bathroom washed my face and said I have to sleep in my bed cause if I don't I never will again.
I did and it never happened again

Because science has figured out more stuff. The gaps those gods used to fill have gotten smaller.

Sound like Lucid Dreaming.
I will often see people in the room. Also spiders and other bugs. The other night I thought the headboard was falling over on top of us.. I awoke while kneeling in bed holding the headboard up.

I had a dream where something grabbed me by the ankles and flung me into the ceiling and held me there, then slamed me into the floor.
It seemed so real to me when I woke up and I was stumbling around the house.
Then I cursed Casey and went back to bed.
Actually the dream part and the waking up on the floor were true.

It's called a hypnagogic event or sleep paralysis. It's not ghosts; your brain just misfired. People often report being unable to move, and seeing people, aliens, or demons. Often they will have the sensation of pressure or weight on their chest as well.
It's a well documented and researched neurological phenomenon. No ghosts required!

Everyone on earth is walking around with a HD camera in their phone, and yet somehow there's not a shred credible evidence...
Amazing how that works.

People have been claiming the Jews rule the world behind the scenes and poison children for hundreds of years, too; do you believe that, as well?

A witness can put someone away for live because they say the saw them kill someone.
Too many people have seen "ghosts" for it to be so easily explained away like some of you are trying to do.
