We've had some weird stuff happen here at work. Originally it was a house owned by a guy named Fred so that's what we've named the ghost.
One morning we were sitting in the coffee room when we heard two loud bangs on the back door. It was so loud that our reporter's dog freaked and ran to the door. From the time it took my boss to get to the door there was no way someone could have ran around the corner of the building yet when she opened it and looked out there was nobody.
One of our reporters likes to work late at night and he's said he's had some experiences. He's the type of person who tries to find an explanation for everything but says some of them he hasn't been able to. he says sometimes he hears the chairs out here in the layout room move and even witnessed it once. He's also felt sudden chills and has checked for spots where a draft could be coming in but finds nothing.
Apparently one of our old editors was leaving the building late at night and while trying to make sure the door was closed heard loud bangs on the door from the other side and ran to his car as fast as he could.
My boss said one morning before we came in she was mopping the floor in the coffee room and saw a black cloudy figure walk past the enterance in the front office. She's also said there's been times where the radio has turned on itself.
There's an old cup in the bathroom upstairs that was moved one day during cleaning. Until it was put back people would see calls on their call display from the office at strange times where nobody was here and there were some folders on the network that were deleted. It could just be a coincidence but it's still weird.
It could have just been old building noises but one time I came here to email something out and could hear someone in the back. I thought it might have been a reporter but when I checked nobody was there.
I always wanted to go to the cemetary with a tape recorder and see if I can pick anything up like those paranormal researchers claim to do. No one ever wants to go with me though.
Meeting a dood I met on the internet with a tape recorder and camera in a cemetery at night, for sure, what could go wrong?

I used to be a stauch skeptic of the paranormal but from the evidence I've seen, it does not look like it just doesnt exist. IMO ghosts are just pure energy, some intelligent, some not.
After my grandmother died we had a baby (my wife was pregnant when my grandma was sick with ALS) and a couple weeks after our daughter was born the dog started acting strange looking up at the crib and growling. My daughter starting laughing and putting her arms up like she was playing with someone. Many of the videos I have taken of my daughter have orbs in them. My mother asked my grandmother to watch over our daughter before she died.
I have some other ghost pictures from the dominican republic. One in a resteraunt, 3 pictures were taken of myself the first one was normal, but in the second one I had a large glowing orb around my head (mishaped, non-circular) and the third one was normal.
IMO scientific analysis of the paranormal is quite difficult if not impossible, but there definatly is anecdotal and physical evidence of something unexplained. I am definatly interested in studying this subject more in depth, however, I dont think religon has anything to do with what you become after death.
my whole family pulled into the driveway oneday after returning home from a short vacation a few hours away. i might have been 8-10 at the time and before we had a remote garage door opener. my father gave me the house keys and asked me to go thru the house to open the garage door. once i got in the house, i started walking down the half flight of stairs to get to the basement level, on my way to the mudroom, then garage. about half way down the stairs, an arm extended out with the palm of it's hand facing me. i screamed and threw the pillow i was carrying at it. the pillow went right thru the arm. i turned around and ran out the door yelling at my dad that somebody was in the house. he ended up going thru the whole house looking for somebody, as we figured we caught a robber. he found nothing and all windows and doors were locked as we left them.
I have never seen a ghost before, but have felt its presence. The ghost that haunts the restaurant level of the Saddledome of 310-315 is it? I don't remember.

I've had a number of experiences, but twice (completely different circumstances), I've told the person meant to tell me, that someone has passed away.
The first time my Dad was trying to tell my brother and I that his grandfather had passed away, and really before he even started, I blurted out that Papa was dead.
The other time, my guidance councellor pulled me out of class to tell me that a family friend (Calgary police officer) had been killed in the line of duty. She closed her office door behind me, handed me a box of tissue, opened her mouth to tell me and I told her that Rob had been killed.
