I've actually officially entered full on hipster zone and it was completely by accident. I listen to indie music, own a pea coat that came with a scarf, enjoy PBR, own a pair of white-framed sunglasses, don't have a job, and live in Victoria. The sad thing is that I either actually like or have a legitimate reason for all of these things. So I guess I can't truly be a hipster since none of the above was done for ironic purposes.

I own one scarf, but it's pretty fancy, and I love Stars.
I hate myself.

That's how it starts. It's the hipster virus and it spreads. Pretty soon you'll be wearing knitted hats made out of hemp and hanging out at the Ship.

What the hell is PBRÉ
Google comes up with: Petroleo Brasileiro, professional bull riding and pabst blue ribbon. Frankly, I could see hipsters ironically liking all of them.

Pabst Blue Ribbon. You know, the wheat-flavoured alcohol and water mixture.

I went to a show once at this dive bar just off Whyte Ave. The most sold beer there was Lucky.

Just as I didn't like it, there was some people that did.
Had Iron Maiden came out, and busted off Rime of The Ancient Mariner, Sign of the Cross, and Children of the Damned, I may have very well imploded in a giant musicgasm. While half of the stadium would have thought that sucked balls. You cannot please everyone.
However, at the end of the day. I WAS THERE TO WATCH A HOCKEY GAME, NOT LISTEN TO A BAND.

Agreed on Iron Maiden.
But if you don't care because you were there to watch a hockey game WHY ARE YOU STILL POSTING IN THIS THREAD
The NHL is trying to appeal to a younger demographic, get over it.

Are you freaking kidding me? Kids, once again, like crappy cheap beer? Why isn't Molson all over this with another Molson Canadian Rocks promo? This time featuring ironic bands.

The only redeeming feature about PBR is that it's a cheap beer that doesn't get skunky. But it's cheap, and I'm unemployed.

Does she like to get loser pissed, fight other girls, and act somewhat masculine? If so, could you PM me her number. I have high hopes for this.

The NHL should just hire some midgets and let them box. Nobody is going to complain about fightin' midgets, or decry someone else's taste in midgetry.

I doubt that. These days people in their 30's stay a lot more current on music than they used. It's not like in our parents day where they just kept listening to the same music they listened to in their heyday.
I'm not a Metric fan but if I had a choice over them or some moldy song from the 80's, I'd choose them.
