Sure but the colour pallet on Fallout 3 ruined it for me.

That's fine, but this is Duke Nukem. The word "story" doesn't really fit with this game.

Part of the charm of the first duke nukem was all the Easter eggs and humour in it. There were neat locations and being able to do things like demo a whole building, use the loo, watch an Xrated movie
Maybe at the time it was revoluntary for graphics (the mouse wasn't commonly used at this time in first person shooters) and it was one of the first to take advantage of vertical game play with the jet pack
This game won't be about graphics or story now, but it'll be a nice throw back to the duke nukem we grew up with

Didnt they do this exact same thing like 2 years ago? Not to mention the countless other times...
I feel like Lucy keeps pulling the football away and now I've gotten to the point where I dont even really want to kick it anymore.

That was before 3DRealms shutdown and Gearbox took over development.

I'm going to make a bold prediction:
This game is not going to be good. At all.

Even if this game gets terrible reviews, and a dos emulator is required to run it, I am buying the thing. I have been c#%k teased by this frikkin game for 15 years, and I am playing it.
Its like the hot chick from high school that kept shutting you down no matter how hard you tried. Except, now you are a success and she is a chain smoking single mom with 5 kids, a cellulite problem, and 3 chins living in the Vagabond trailer park in Forest Lawn. Your still gonna hit it, just to say you got your way.

That hands on impression makes this sound really good. I wish I could have pop stars perform sexual acts on myself when I played games.

After reading the game spot review, I'll definitely be giving it a try. Duke Nukem has one thing that a lot of other first person shooters don't have. It knows its a game and not a hollywood production.
How many other games have an opening where you're playing the main character playing his own video game while getting gobbled by twins.
That alone makes it awesome.

It actually looks like fun and it doesn't take itself serious, which is what games should be all about. Ironic that a nostalgic game will actually be refreshing.

The special edition is only going to be $100. I say only because usually these are $130-150 (Halo's, Killzone 3).
I think the bust is only going to be as tall as a game-case though, so it won't be anywhere near the same size as the Halo/Killzone helmets.
