You're probably right...
People are going to buy this out of nostalgia, and slowly realize it's a mediocre game with nothing to offer but a kitchy "hero" spewing male teenage fantasy crap all over the place.
But seriously, we're all over 25 now... Duke really shouldn't appeal to anyone older then 18. There will be far better, far more mature games out there when this comes out.
If the game is worse then Daikatana however... it will live on in infamy rather then being a disappointment.

This game looks pretty bad but Gearbox may be able to pull it off.

Good or bad, Gearbox deserves some praise for actually getting this thing made. I'll probably pick it up when it goes in the cheap bins.

Considering they are using a heavily modified Unreal Engine 2.5 (from last reports), I am not surprised. I thought it looked rather terrible as well.

It may not be the best game with the greatest graphics but I'm sure it will be insanely entertaining and hilarious. I'm kinda sad it has taken 12 years for it to come out though

To be honest, graphics are pretty low on my "good game" check list. Gameplay and story are waaaaaaaaaaaaay more important.
