Everyone knows that Rodgers dropped to 24th overall in his draft year and Alex Smith went # 1, but i forgot about this pick....

21. Jacksonville Jaguars - Matt Jones, QB Arkansas

OUCH, there were a lot of teams that passed on Rodgers but Matt Jones??

This Pack team is going to be great for a long time, once they get their whole team back, watch out...

Aguilera flubs national anthem at Super Bowl

Quote:
Here's what she sang, with the error in bold:

"O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last [unintelligible].”

That fourth line was supposed to be: "O'er the ramparts we watch'd were so gallantly streaming."

Matt Jones was drafted to be a WR despite playing QB in college. He was a good WR too until he started snorting his paychecks.

And terrible in both shows.

And CA said Reaming instead of Streaming which promptly gave me a boner.

Also gotta give the Packers D props for forcing the three turn overs, and really gutting it out to the end.

Also a big fan of Mike Tomlin, he's making no excuses, and I have no doubt he'll have the Steelers back in the Superbowl in the near future.
Even as a huge Manning fan, I have to agree that Rodgers is now a part of the conversation.

Rothlisberger...not so much.

Crap half time show, crap ending, crap Canadian commercials.

I'd love to see the interview.

Reporter: Aaron Rogers, how much raw athletic talent does it take to win the Superbowl by dropping to your knees on the field? Do you care that this may have been the weakest Superbowl ending of the last 7 or 8 years? How do you manage to crap all over the field and then still take this one? How many virgins did you sacrifice on piles of rabbits feet to ensure that the Steelers got intercepted as often as they did? How much did you pay the reffs?

I am confused how a QB who puts up 304 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a 111.5 QB rating, while getting virtually no running game is "crapping all over the field".

Absolutely frikkin awesome!! My head was a hurtin unit this AM when i finally roused out of my coma. I bet i ingested 7000 calories or better between the food and beverages.

Could not be happier or more proud of and for a sports team than I am about the Packers this season. A simply absurd amount of injuries to key guys and then multiple ones in the same positions, but they just kept doing what they do.

Aaron Rodgers had about as good a game as you will ever see in a Super Bowl. If those donkeys dont drop 6 passes that hit them square in the hands, we were likely looking at 450 yds and 4 or 5 TD's. Even then...lose your possesion receiver for the game, lose your best defensive playmaker for the game, lose your rookie speed CB and still guys just stepped up and did what was needed.

Then there is the future...and man is it bright. They will lose a couple guys to FA but the majority of the important ones are signed long term and...young. A full slate of draft picks as well this year, though picking dead last...but I will take it!

Smells like BS to me. One of the 400 guys called in to the Jim Rome show today and confirmed that he didn't receive Super Bowl 46 tickets. He didn't mention anything about being on the field post-game either (and the guy said he was a Packers season ticket holder so I'd assume that'd be something he might bring up).

Yeah. All the articles I saw yesterday said either $2,700 compensation, or 3x face value. Nothing about SB46 or food.

Which would make sense seeing as the whole SB46 tickets part didn't enter the equation until today.
