I would say "Yeah your right", but these goals weren't 2-1's or break aways. These were wrist shots and slap shots from inside the blue line. Like come on, I'll let one go, but 9 fata me.

I think I'll disagree on acceleration. Mine is pretty low (maybe 70) and I am slow as hell compared to when mine was in the 80's. Strength and Balance work though, the people who I destroy can attest to that.

It seems like this is the most dissected and analyzed video game by some of you guys, I doubt you'll ever be happy. It is what it is, a video game. If you want realistic hockey, I think you might have to strap on the equipment and go play mens league or something. It just seems I'm in the minority when it comes to being happy with the game.

I'm actually in the happy camp. Actually, I think it's the best NHL game for a long, long time. I just have a few things that I'm unhappy with, but all I can live with. (except maybe the lines always being up and blocking my view).

I'm having fun playing it, but that's almost in spite of all the flaws. I don't mind the gameplay issues, none of them are huge problems for me, but what really drives me crazy is the apparent 'whatever, they'll buy it anyways' attitude towards some of the other flaws. The whole allowing players of any age in the CHL thing is a great example of an obvious issue that they just didn't give a damn to fix.

I'm also in the minority camp and absolutely love this game. I haven't even touched Fifa 11 cuz of it. HUT and OTP is where it's at for me.
Currently in the semi finals for Elite HUT playoffs...I came back from a 2-0 3rd period deficit to win 3-2 in round 2. I should actually be in the finals though but in the 3rd round game my opponent quit with 1.7 secs left. /sigh

I won HUT playoffs last night too. But what a pain in the ass. People who are of equal team rankings as me kept quitting at the team select screen because they wanted to play a slug. The people who had a lower overall team quit because they didn't want to play me.
I finally get a game, and forget that if someone quits, you don't get to move on. I kicked the crap out of him 7-1 mid-way through the second, and he quits...
Took me forever to find the next game, this time, I had to sit on a 4-1 lead and just dump it in the entire game.
I did have 2 great games against some good players, but again, the fear of them quitting always made me just keep them interested and allow some chances.

I play be a pro pretty much exclusively.
I like the fact that I built my defenseman up to a 99 slap shot 99 wrist shot.
I'm officially killing people in front of the net now.
I love taking slap shots and seeing them roll around the ice, then being carted to the dressing room for the mandatory 4 weeks injured.
Mwa hahahahaha

Yeah its a pretty fun game, not sure what all the frustration is about. The only thing I can think of is that sometimes when you don't see any massive overhauls year after year you start getting a bit bored of the status quo, and I can't blame people for that. I think they need to make significant changes to the series every 3 years or so just to keep things fresh. I pretty much only buy FIFA and NHL games every 2nd year now because the changes are pretty minimal from year to year.
Its too bad 2k totally f'd up their NHL game. That game was a beauty on the previous generation. It'd be nice to have some choice.

Yeah i had a 4-0 lead and was dumping the puck in starting the 2nd period. What a jerkbag. The most terrible part is that Cammalleri's (my 2nd liner LW) contract will expire in the next game so hypothetically if i make the finals, I will need to use another LWer.

That's true, but CC most likely has a lot of his boosts unlocked so that will help. Also, he probably has his defensive d-man boost pack unlocked too.
