I have yet to have someone point and laugh at me at the gym saying "HAHA Walmart shopper!"
I work across the street from a Walmart and when I have been in a pinch, and spilled coffee or lunch on a shirt, I have pillaged them for a dress shirt or two. One of my favorite dress shirts came out of the "George" (pronounced Zeorjze) collection.
Then only thing at Walmart that is stupid to buy is shoes, regardless of if you are a brand whore or not. Their shoes are lucky to last a month.

I've never bought a Wal-Mart brand 'dri-fit' type shirt, so I'm not really commenting on those directly, but I have had a couple of cheaper versions and always find that while the material is similar the quality of construction is much worse. I'd rather pay twice as much for something that holds up at least twice as long. I find online shopping gives me the best of both, I picked up 4 or 5 Reebok play-dry (or whatever the hell it is) shirts on hockeyoverstock.com for $5 a pop.

Yeah, I buy the wal-mart house brand "under armour" shirts for skiing and they work pretty good actually the heat gear stuff). I also use them to wear under my hockey jerseys to flames games. My concern with the online stuff is I have no idea if what i'm getting is real (unless it is an authorized retailer).
Another good place for dri-fit/heat gear is winners.

I agree 100%, once or twice a year my brain tricks me into wondering into the west hills location "Oh it's just a store, no worse than wal-mart" but then I get in there and I'm like "wtf? this place is a mess"

I'm hoping that Target transforms Zellers into the mighty competitor it once was with Woolco, from the second-rate Walmart it has become.
I'm for this decision, and look forward to our new Target Overlords

I walked into Target, but I missed. I think the entrance to Target should have people splattered all around. And, when I finally get in, the guy says, "Can I help you?" "Just practicing."

Honestly for something that I am going to sweat all over and throw away in 6 months I could care less what brand it is. The expensive stuff still stinks and wears out. And even if it were to last twice as long, it is still usually 4 times the price.
However I agree with the poster that recommended Winners, I just picked up a pile of dry fit Nike shirts there for 12 bucks each, which is justifiable as the brand name stuff does seem to have a better fit.

I think you should read up on it and see if your parents can afford to have you tested.

Haha, you learned about Asperger Syndrome from the telly, didn't you? I read an article suggesting that a bunch TV characters dealing with it are damaging the legitimacy of real life Asperger people.
I fail to see how your repeated comments about 'Little Sudan' and the "dangerous" condition of our city can be construed as sarcasm. I think you are trying to backtrack from ignorant comments. I'm guessing you are about 24/25 and have yet to learn about interpersonal relationships, as the things people joke about the most, are usually the things that concern them the most.
For example, I often joke about the classlessness of the Nouveau Riche, as they aren't accustomed to money, so have no way of knowing how to live with it. But, you see, I do think certain Hip Hop artists are ill-informed with their choice of words, clothing and manners, so, really I'm not joking.

Or you're too fat to shop at regular stores! Notice that Wal-Mart shoppers tend to be on the "husky" side.

I use the money I save from buying clothes at Wal Mart and Zellers on hookers and blow. It's a wonderful life.

TJ Maxx is the American version of Winners. Actually since it came first, Winners is the (inferior) Canadian version of TJ Maxx.

If you didn't dress in Wal-Mart and Zellers wear, you might be able to pick up a woman and not have to pay for it!

Winners is actually modeled after Marshalls (also owned by TJX). They even have the same coloring scheme, and apart from the logos, you'd be hard-pressed to tell one from the other.
Ross and TJ Maxx are more or less the same thing as well though.....

I'm a poor student, but forget Walmart, it's all about Value Village baby!
Last week picked up.
2 Bananana Republic sweaters
3 Gap undershirts
2 Gap Button ups
1 Pair of Seven Jeans
Took a few of the items to get tailored and the total cost for everything, with the tailoring, came to just under $70.00.

If that's the case, why is Marshall's coming to Canada later this year?

Winners is a TJ Maxx company, so they can only blame themselves.
