Prioritizing steering over stopping makes sense if you assume that the cross-streets in front of you will stay clear. I wouldn't want to be making that assumption.
what are you basing this on? for all you know i'm a 17 year old driver with 1 year experience or im 30 and been driving for 12 years. great argument tho; hey umm.. you're wrong, i think im right.. therefor you're a kid who knows nothing about driving. lulz to you!!1!~
You make yourself sound like a formula-1 driver of the winter roads.
I wish I had videos of what my eyes have seen. I took a couple videos with my Cannon Power shot camera 3-4 yr's ago... Normally too busy to do that stuff.
LOL, you don't seriously think you can "steer" a car on roads like that do you?
The only thing 100% is you and Potluck have never drove on roads like that.
My name is Puckluck damnit! lol
It just seems so wrong to slam on your brakes going downhill. If that was me I'd take my chances and roll down the hill at 50km/hr.
You see it all the time here on straight roads. People panic and hit the brakes causing the car to spin out. I think I'd be able to steer it straight without touching my brakes. Pinner on the other hand might have some problems Jk Pinner you are a great driver lol
Crazy cold out there right now....-26 and I just survived a 10km run....felt like I was about to do something very wrong as I was getting geared up with my bank robber ski mask, head lamp, goggles etc. Nice night to be out though as the Moon was so bright I didn't need the lamp and there was barely anyone around and like the city was in hiding. Note to Garmin, Apple and Rayovac your equipment works at -26. Weather this extreme is literally cool and few people get to experience it like we do. As long as you dress for it you can do most things that you wouldn't be able to do in the extreme heat for the most part. Going to -28 tonight and then it looks like the trend is relatively warmer. Now...do I need to ice my joints or are they already iced

Wow nice! You can drive a truck on a empty road in alaska(?) and didn't hit the ditch. Next time you put your camera on the dash make sure theres something exiting like cars with icy hills to negotiate.
You're an ex bus driver that doesn't know how to navigate a stop sign, and you're telling other people how to drive. Thanks, clown.
I was driving a Calgary Transit (the big ones) bus full time at 19 yr's old. ( youngest ever) That was 26 yr's ago dick. I would say I've learned a few things since then...
to be fair, the road did lazily lean to the left and back to the right.

like how to negotiate a quiet country road? or go on the internet and brag about your ninja driving skills?

Sorry Puckluck.
Ummm the car I was talking about started out going up the hill, didn't make it and slid down the hill.
