Can we argue about a playoff system vs BCS AGAIN? That would be great!
I didn't see the Wisconsin game but 83 points? Sounds like a high school game.

Yeah...a high school basketball game!
I liked how Tranny put that score into perspective. Indiana scored 20 and lost by 9 touchdowns.

I imagine the backups backups were running for TD's at the end.

they were. I believe 3 different QB's scored yesterday. It was one of the most eye-opening performances i have ever seen, a combination of Wisconsin being really good and imposing their will on Indiana, and INd. being completely unable to stop a things.
IIRC WI scored on every possesion.

Huh? I dont care that Utah won or lost or anything else. They are obviously a team that shouldnt of been ranked where they were, much like Texas....thats the systems fault and has nothing to do with me. Sort of the whole point actually.
They couldn't of finished #3 without at least 2 teams ahead of them losing as well. regardless of that...its quite possible that 2 undefeated teams will not get a chance as it is. Now I dont know about you, but there is no way for me to know who would win and who wouldnt on the field without seeing them play each other. I have no idea how a bunch of voters and a computer can know either. I dont have a dog in this fight in any case, so any claim of "bias" is ridiculous. I would like to see the players decide who is best, not sure why so many have a problem with that.
'Right now', no one will convince me that Boise St. shouldn't be a shoe-in for the NC game. Of course I can say the same about Auburn and Oregon as well, TCU i am not sold on after the last two weeks. I believe that Auburn will lose to either or maybe both of Alabama and SC, so now what? One loss LSU should get in even though they cant win their own division nevermind their own conference?
There is going to be chaos at the end of it all by the looks of things, which I will sit back and watch the car wreck and laugh at those who continue to deny there is any problems and that a playoff is impossible...even though the governing body already has a playoff system for other teams. Its awesome entertainment.

No it hasn't. Lots of ideas from the land of make believe have been presented, but not one plan that contemplates the realities of the interests involved has been brought forward. None.
And how can you say Boise is a shoe in for the NC game but not TCU? What's that based upon? BSU has one win over a team that is anywhere near being an elite team, and that team lost to an FCS team the following week. There are 5-6 teams on each of Oregon and Auburn's resumes that are just as good, if not better, than Va Tech (especially the half assed version of Va Tech that showed up the first part of this year). Those 2 teams are head and shoulders above Boise when it comes down to what they have actually done on the field. It's not even close.

There is a decent chance that Wisconsin's basketball team doesn't break 80 points this year, and they're a good team (albeit a traditionally low scoring one).
Indiana looked like they'd given up by the 4th quarter though. That last touchdown was embarrassing, a defense with no interest in playing anymore.

BSU shouldn't even be in the top 10.
This is no different than your argument that Utah shouldn't have been #5.

Because I watched both teams the last 2 weeks, and BSU is head and shoulders a better club on both sides of the ball than TCU? Good enough answer for you?
This is still a place for opinions, and that is mine...should I shut up because you dont agree with it?

Well you go on and on that Utah shouldn't have been ranked #5, Texas shouldn't have been ranked #4, the system is a joke. That's easy to say after both have fallen right out of the rankings.
So now I'm talking in the present and saying that BSU should be nowhere near the top 10. Can't I say that?

with their games vs. Fresno and Nevada, if BSU wins big, no question they overtake TCU in the BCS

Hopefully they drop one of those games and LSU rolls over Ole Miss and Arkansas jumping TCU in the process. That way if Oregon can win out and Auburn happens to drop a game we don't have to play a NC game that essentially become a no-win situation.
Although it would be kinda sweet to be the team that ensure no non-AQ team ever gets a shot at the title again (unless of course they play a better schedule or join a real conference)

Every single year that they have not played for the NC, so every single year they have played.
Hopefully Auburn loses so that when BSU destroys Oregon we can end the little guy BS.
But it does look like this is the year two weak BCS schools (Auburn and Oregon) get in and the best team (BSU) gets left out again.

Best team based on what? The 82nd strongest schedule in college football? Beating down perennial powerhouses such as Wyoming, New Mexico State, Toledo, Idaho and San Jose State? The signature win against a team that lost to a 5-5 division 2 team?

Best team based on talent.
It isn't like Oregon or Auburn have schedule full of quality wins.

It's just friggen comical how anyone supporting Oregon can even muster an argument against BSU after having lost to them two years in a row. Give me a break.

No kidding. Especially Oregon. They must have played the easiest out of conference schedule in the country. A win against Usc this year is nothing to brag about. Beating Stanford at home is really all they have to brag about. And Stanford has not really beat anyone interesting. BSU would likely be favorites against every one of the ducks opponents and heavy favorites against most.
Not really fair to punish bsu too much for vt blowing the jmu game 5 days after a devastating loss to start the season.
Now the ducks have just squeaked by a team that got blown out by Nevada.
