Also Pashak was the only candidate who I felt actually got out and campaigned. I receive nothing from Mar's team and received 3-4 from Pashak and had a somewhat personal "I'm sorry I missed you" type note in my mailbox.

I e-mailed a few questions to both Pashak and Mar, regarding issues that were important to myself personally. Pashak got back to me in 3 hours. Mar asked for my phone number 3 weeks later, left a voicemail, and never contacted me again.

I thought that summed the candidates up nicely.

Pashak has also been very active in responding to people on twitter. Mar was tweeting all the time during council, yet went very "dark" during the campaign.

I'm not going to lie... I'd be be severely disappointed. Even though I spend the majority of my time outside Calgary anyways, I visit home enough to still care about the city.

Curious: Despite all unlikelyhood, what happens if there is a recount and a literal tie (IE exactly 100 000 for two or three of Higgins/Nenshi/McIver)? Is there another election or do they just pick cards out of a deck or something?

Pashak is excellent. I don't think hell overcome Mar this election but if rumours are true about Mar wanting to run in the next provincial election, he'll have another shot in a by-election should Mar win.
