How the hell does Higgins have 33%?
She's a non factor in the mayoralty race AFAIC.

From the mayoral poll:
The ROI poll also gauged the level of momentum in the mayor's race.
Nenshi led that category with the most number of respondents saying their opinion of him had improved, followed by McIver and Higgins.

Do not underestimate this. I was called a sexist by my sister because I wouldn't even entertain the thought of voting for Barb Higgins. She and all of her friends are voting Higgins. When I asked why there was no answer other than "Why can't a woman be mayor? You are a sexist".

That's pretty sad comments coming from some female voters.

You also have to consider that Nenshi is very popular amongst younger engaged votors, many of whom can't be reached by these polls because they don't have land lines. If you recall about 3 weeks ago, The leger telephone-based poll had him at 8% while a week or so earlier Zinc Research conducted an online-based poll and had him at 12%. I would suspect that telephone-based polls undercount his support by at least a few points.

I see the old Kent Hehr building at Macleod and 25th that was painted green and blue is now completely purple and a full on Nenshi building.
Great location, just don't go inside that death trap.

Not sure if this was posted already. Apologies if so.
Forum currently in progress. Sans McIver and Higgins.

Nenshi's a pretty good debater - McIver and Higgins probably both know that it would benefit him way more than them.

Is this the same Zinc research that donate $2500-5000 to Nenshi's campaign? I would doubt the objectivity of their results.

Yes, but the head of this current poll was playing in his band at Barb Higgins' fundraiser. He's a Higgins supporter.

That drop in support for McIver is very interesting! His team must be concerned as that is basically a 25% drop off two weeks before the election.

Nenshi needs to do a top-three debate with McIver and Higgins. Now.
And lo and behold, neither of them bit.
I hope, for the sake of class and integrity, they accept a debate before voting day. Right now, they have no reason to. The last thing they need is to get schooled by Nenshi over and over.
That said, I would love to see that. I hope other Calgarians are seeing that McIver and Higgins don't want to debate Nenshi because they know they won't come out on top.

Not 100% sure staying away from Nenshi is a good strategy. A newpaper article suggesting they're hiding could potentially do more damage than a debate that a lot of people will probably ignore anyways.

Salva!
I saw you yesterday on Elbow drive at 5:30pm waving to traffic. I would have stopped if I wasn't late for dinner. Props to you, you're one of the few I have seen do that.
I would "Pick Vic", but I support the separate system.

Right now I'd say it all depends on who the about half of the decided voters (or 40% of the population) who won't actually vote are supporting.

This particular poll includes "leaners", which will overstate the perception that the numbers are firm supporters.
This was the poll question:
“Now thinking about the candidates running for mayor, which candidate would you be most likely to
vote for? Even if you haven’t totally made up your mind right now, which candidate are you leaning toward supporting?”

You should have fired back
"Why can't an visible minority be mayor? You are a racist!"
