So for everyone who doesn't have a team in the playoffs, who are you rooting for?

I think they definitely did. The best team in the NL for most of the season but then from mid August until today they have been poor despite this late rally against the Giants. Starting pitchers are awesome, they are just terribly inconsistent at the plate.

The Padres actually choked back on Thursday, a 1-0 loss at home to the Cubs. They left about a million men on base and it's THE CUBS!

That lost put them into the impossible situation that they were in this weekend. And they nearly survived.

My Twins are in trouble as they have lost 8 out of thier last 10 games to finish the season. Unfortunately they have to face the Yankees in the playoffs. Should be a good series.

Go Twins!

Wouldn't worry too much about the 8 out of 10, they were resting pitchers and not trying that hard. Also they played thehappy-go-lucky Blue Jays who were swinging for the fences for fun.

Bah, the Padres dang near pulled it off, but that slide in August killed them and they just couldn't get the wheels back under in time to pull it out. Didn't help that Adrian Gonzalez is dealing with some sort of problem, and the "o" became as advertised. Scrappy team with a solid starting rotation/bullpen, just not enough pieces throughout the starting eight to get things done. Really disappointed in the way Ludwick played since being acquired.

Really interesting to see what happens to Gonzalez this off-season, as he is a free agent at next year's end.

I'm super pumped for my Rangers to be in, oh the last decade was painful and now I get to see post-season play again!

Too bad TB does not play in a real park. No atmosphere in that dome.

Sure, You know that Tampa and NYY traded the AL East what a half dozen times in the last month alone? Far from being the best team.

What do you mean, all they need to do is give away 20,000 free tickets and that place is rockin'!

I want Philly to win hand down this year, I'd love to see Doc get a ring. I like Oswalt too.
