I was just looking at the MLB schedule for tomorrow and Votto could make up some serious ground in the Triple Crown race. No other play in the majors has hit more homers during the day then he has but he does not have very good numbers against Hammel in his career going 1/6 with 3 strikeouts.

Wasn't Gonzalez a platoonish type player in April and May to start the season? Granted he was considered a pretty good prospect, but since June he's been ripping it up. Must be something about that mountain air in September with how the Rockies have played in that month lately.

Gosh darn you Padres, just a lack of experience shining through, as there is only so much Eckstein and Matt Stairs can provide for a group so young. Think it'll be a race between the Rockies and Giants in the end, though I love me some Adrian Gonzalez.
Nice, go Giants! Buster Posey is scary good, and a lot of guys are stepping up, after it looked like a down year from Panda was going to fritter away the season. Oh and by the way Wilson is a ninja, just ask him.

The Rockies are red hot winning their 9th in a row. 3 1/2 games out of the Wild Card and 2 1/2 games out of first. Not to much to report on the Triple Crown, Gonzalez leads the NL in BA (.335) is fourth in HR's (32) and third in RBI's (100). Votto is third in BA (.320) is third in HR's (33) and second in RBI's (101).
Jeter’s hit-by-pitch – actually it was a missed-by-pitch – seemed to light a match in an already smoldering rivalry between the two best teams in baseball Wednesday night. The chain reaction was swift: an argument, an ejection, a go-ahead New York Yankees home run, a go-ahead Tampa Bay Rays home run, and then the kind of angry ninth-inning noise usually reserved for ballparks in colder climates. By the time the game ended in a 4-3 Rays victory and Jeter admitted “acting,” the Rays were back in first and the table was set for more bitterness in the Bronx.
What else has he done? Are you the only one in the world who doesn't like Jeter?

I really don't think Jeter did anything wrong, other than sell it a little too much. He is known for being a bit dramatic while up to bad, and he's overrated as far as his defense goes, but not sure why he hates him. Even Joe Madden doesn't seem to have anything against what Jeter did anymore.
