He's definitely serious, he doesn't understand that you aren't.

On the contrary, I believe Photon should himself pass this investigation along to some of Calgary Puck's CPS members to investigate. Full on investigation.

I think we should treat snitches on here like they do in prison.

I imagine the sentiment from the cop would be "David Ginola, suck my balls, you think we have nothing to do all day, especially to pursue something that is not a crime".

Dont worry LA Flames Fan, if the cops come running, you can hide out at my house.

Actually, take a dump in the iPhone box, tell them about it, mail it back, then when they inevitably charge you for it you can have the last laugh for opening your poo.
Thanks fotze...perhaps we can ride the wild west as OUTLAWS.

The only authorities who would likely be interested in this is Bell and their shipping department. I assume since it was sent via registered mail, they already know about it. I am sure they will appreciate your call though.

I am confused, there isn't a crime that has been committed here.

Aside from a few posts that I assume are joking, the basic consensus in this thread is Bell has a history of very poorly dealing with account credits, tracking returns of products, or charging for services that were not authorized.

If he just sends the phone back, he risks being billed for the phone when they figure out they sent the phone in the first place. Then, given some of the history with Bell people have in this thread, he would need to first prove he sent it back and then once he did that, finally get Bell to apply the credit to his account.

If he holds onto the phone to see how much he is (or if he is even) billed for it, then he can decide if he would like to pay that amount, return the phone, or contact Bell to arrange a return of the unopened phone.

Even if he keeps it, sells it or otherwise does not return it to Bell, the only way anything being suggested here would be illegal would be if Bell had no idea the phone was sent, which is pretty much impossible since it was sent registered mail, and they were also suggesting not to notify Bell of the extra phone.

Thats just my opinion though.

You should contact the media about this. Sounds like the kind of story Chuck Storm would be all over!

I don't know how their phone service is, but with the satellite I can sign into my Bell account and check my bills and hardware. Maybe try this to see what Bell is doing with your account. Meanwhile I would be very leery of offering Bell any information until you know what's up or they ask. I deal with them as if they are Ferangi.

I bet if Chuck Storm were to say, throw the phone in a blender, or off a cliff, or something, then magically get it to work in a video, He'd have a potentially viral situation on his hands.

This happened to a friend of mine with Rogers. After agreeing to sell me a BB Curve, which she recieved by accident, she got notification that she needed to send the extra back.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they realize the error they have made, and ask you to return the unit. And by unit, I don't mean your manhood.

While I want it, the iPhone, not your manhood, I would imagine the best course of action would be to contact them and send it back. This has to be one of those 'it's too good to be true' situations. Again, the iPhone, not your manhood.

my sister in law got an extra mighty mouse from apple once, she contacted them and was told just to keep it and not to bother returning it.

I'd contact them and let them know what happened. At least you will have a record of it, if they open a case.

Bell sent my girlfriend 2 Pearls by accident 3 years ago, because she asked for a white one and they sent her a brown one. After calling to complain they sent a white one and never asked to send the first one back. She actually took the initiative and called/e-mailed them at least a dozen times over the course of half a year or so for them to send a postage paid box so she can return the first one and it never happened.

She sold it half a year later and Bell has not come knocking for their phone. The guy she sold it to even activated the phone back on Bell without a problem. That company seriously needs to get their ducks in a row.
