I can't wait for all the satellite radio satellites to be knocked out so that we terrestrial radio listeners can point and laugh.

Are you kidding, everyone's invited, if the end of the world is coming, I want to be drunk for it, and surrounded by people doing really stupid things.

Or maybe the guy responsible for making the calender thought too himself "you know I think 2012 is far enough ahead for now - I'm going to hit the beach and enjoy retirement"

More along the line of it being the ultimate practical joke.
They probably figured that people would crap bricks over a calender with an end of days.

Maybe someone can clarify this for me.
100 M hydrogen bombs, we are just talking about the EMP equivalent right? Not the actual USA vs. Russia Cold War equivalent?

I have my own 'compound' I'll be on... Since I don't envision death, I plan on going back to nature. I just need to buy a milk cow and I'm set.

I would guess it would be emp, and not physical explosions
However after all of our electronics are fried and we're sitting in front of our dead T.V.'s and computers with a blank shocked look on our faces, we'll be easy pray for the Lizard men.
