One report quotes an Australian astronomer as saying "the storm is likely to come sooner rather than later".
But Dr Phil Wilkinson, the assistant director of the Bureau of Meteorology's Ionospheric Prediction Service, says claims that this coming solar maximum will be the most violent in 100 years are not factual.

Luckily, our fuel reserves should remain intact. Provided we survive the 100 million hydrogen bombs, of course.

did you think the mayan's developed a 5125 year long count calender with no astronomical significance? we give far too little credit to the intelligence of old civilizations. if anything, our gregorian calender is way more off the mark than the long count calender in the grand scheme of the cosmos.

I was trying to inject humor into our upcoming destruction.
Personally I welcome the sweet sweet embrace of death in two years time and invite you all to join me on the roof of the tallest building in the city.
