I tried. Figured 24 people was bit excessive for the challenger deaths.

Now for a real offensive joke ask how many jews can fit into a VW. Although you'd need a pretty big freakin' ashtray...

It's funny, when Challenger exploded it was a major tragedy, but when Columbia broke apart a few years ago there wasn't even close to the same amount of coverage. Maybe we are all desensitized to these types of things now or maybe it's the fact that the Challenger was televised live and was a spectacular explosion? 7 people died in each, but Challenger was way way more of a big deal.

How did they know Christa M. had dandruff?
A: They found her head and shoulders!

What did the tv announcer say after the Challenger exploded?
A: No, no, BUD-light!

What did Christa M. say to her husband before she left that morning?
A: You feed the dog, I'll feed the fish.

Meh, I just think no one wanted to report on the woeful state of NASA funding.

I was pretty sad when Columbia exploded. I watched that shuttle launch from Kennedy Space Center a couple years before the accident.

I was taking my grade 11 finals when the Columbia exploded.

I remember I was in the library studying (for all the good it did me), and the Librarian who was a space buff had the T.V. turned on with the volume turned really low.

I remember seeing the fireball and the solid rocket boosters spiraling away and great chunks flying out in all directions and thinking thats not normal.

the NASA controller kept doing his regular checklist for a couple of minutes as if nothing was wrong. Then there was the pause and the explosion announcement.

Its funny what sticks in your mind after all of these years. But I clearly remember the last words that we heard from the shuttle commander.

NASA - Go Throttle up!
Shuttle Commander - Challenger go at throttle up.

Seconds later it was over.

There are very few things that I remember that clearly

Regan's "Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall" I remember like it was yesterday

"The Flames have won the Stanley Cup" I still remember clearly

But the Columbia thing, that was haunting.

I am pretty sure it was the same thread.

All I remember, other than JAG losing his mind because someone posted pedobear images (which is highly offensive), was a large quantity of Jailbait Motivators. And that's a good thing.

Why does NASA drink Sprite?

Because they can't get 7up.

Sometimes at work I play basketball while taking a dump. I crumple up 2 sheets of TP and then try to do trick shots. My best shot so far was a triple-bank shot. Off the soap dispenser, off the paper towel dispenser, off the wall, and BLAMO, into the garbage.
