It's good as far as warranties go, but like almost any warranty I find I rarely need them. Since finding a Calgary company (iPhix) that does repairs on all the iDevices for relatively cheap, I've found my concern over damage has lessened.

Yes.... but they reworked other parts of my package to drop 10bucks off of that. So technically it is $40.

Looks like it ends up being closer to $10 after shipping costs.

Winners had a nice leather one (iLuv i think?) with adjustable stand for 25$.

I put the price difference between a 32 gig and 64 gig iPad towards AppleCare. The 32 gig is plenty big, and I figured AppleCare might be worth it on a first generation device from Apple.

Everyone who sees my Aligata case quite likes it, but it doesn’t function as a stand. It’s different than every other case out there that I’ve seen; has much more of a hand made, country feel to it.

The Apple Store at Market Mall has a pretty good selection of cases, stands and cradles. I was there getting my iPhone, and took a look at their iPad stuffs. Much better selection than I've seen anywhere else (obviously).

Many of the cases have this sticky texture, meant so that people don't drop their iPad. Nice concept except now mine is just absolutely covered in hair from the cat and the dog. And it's near impossible to get it all off. Try washing it and it just moves the hair elsewhere on the case.

This iPad really is a cool device. I can definitely see myself owning one in the future. Went in and played with one of the display units today at Future Shop. Got bored after a few minutes so I gave it a little jailbreakme.com action. I'm curious to go back some time and see if they restored it.

Yeah so far very happy, it's very nice, very solid feeling. About the only thing so far is that when you open it fully the cover doesn't fit against the back flat, the spine wants to keep it open a bit, but it'll probably get better over time as the material adjusts to use.
Either of them were very nice and it was hard to decide, if I took my iPad out more I probably would have gone with the other one as it offers a bit more material around so maybe a bit more protection, but either was nice.
The other one is real leather as well, this one is a faux leather material (still feels fine, doesn't feel cheap IMO).

Filemaker has "filemaker Go" available for iPad now (iPhone too - separate apps though)
Looks very good, seems like you can do almost everything that a full version of filemaker can do, except editing layouts and scripts.
iPad version is $39.99 and the iPhone version is $19.99 though, however likely well worth it if you have Filemaker databases.

Try this out.
Magic Eraser magically cleans your Apple products

I'll be giving it a shot. The Apple case is definitely more function than form. It's does the tilt for typing as well as being stand for watching video. The material allows you get a good grip on it. But it's a dust magnet and fairly unattractive. I am still on the hunt for the perfect case for mine.

I agree. I put AppleCare on my 'Air, and after the Second one shat the bed, they gave me a nicely appointed MacBook, a little more than a year after I first purchased the Air. I went from an 80 GB air to a 250 GB Macbook. I'm pretty sure I may have been hooped with out AppleCare.
