i just hope we don't see real life grinders able to dangle with the puck, stop on a dime, and deke all over the place.

that's easily, one of my biggest pet pieves of the game, in almost all gameplay game modes.

All I remember is that Jobo was in net, they were all shorthanded and scored by the same guy haha.

i don't.

Playing online against people, or offline on superstar/hardcore mode, any player can skate around players, deke, stop on a dime, without losing the puck.

The puck control is definitely enhanced, but that goes for all players, do you really want to spend 2/3 of the game watching pucks get fumbled around?

I would make a joke at the Flames expense, but it's kind of sad haha.

Just beat Vancouver 7-0 playing as Calgary in a versus game. Scored it with 7 seconds left, how fitting. =D

ya i sorta would. I don't like how the puck STICKS to a players stick as he skates, stops, turns, gets nudged. In FIFA the ball is an entity in itself, and is never connected to the player, and actually slightly moves out of his reach as he speads up or tries to deke.

there's a reason, you see a lot of dumping the puck, and getting the puck deep type plays in the NHL, however that use case isn't required in the EA game as every player can skate all over the ice with the puck, regardless of defenders, or their player ratings.

That has more to do with defensive AI I think. Any NHL player could deke around pylons. I know playing online it's much harder to maintain puck control with a grinder.

i was in that game, so i assume i was playing defense. so i must take some blame as well. because had we been playing better D, we wouldnt have had to dive to try and stop guys which led to the tripping.

however, it was jobo in goal that let in all 3, to the same guy, in the same period. it was probably within about a 5 minute span as well, but don't quote me on that part.

I don't think it was within 5 minutes. But I think within a two period timeframe.

I learned though that doing butterfly against tripped up players is harder then I thought.

You'll hear info on it this week, if not early next week.

Speaking of 'Be a GM Mode', I would really like to see a 'are you sure you want to complete the trade' or ' are you sure you want to complete your draft selection' screen.

With the revolving layout of buttons in different menus (which is irritating to the extreme for a personality like mine), they should at the very least give you a last chance before making a deal.

I never understood the need to do that. There's at least 2 different sort buttons depending on what screen you're on. It's goofy.
