I kind of like that idea of this kind of multitasking, because this way you won't have to worry about killing apps that you don't want to run as much.

Sweet, just did it. Thanks man, that's been bugging me forever!!

You just learned the first rule of UX design.

Listen to what your customers want and then completely forget what they said.

It’s real multitasking - the apps have code running in the background without question. What they don’t have is background execution of the full superset of API calls available to them - for example, an app can’t update its display in the background, as thats not needed in the single-window view that the iPhone provides.

So apps can work on data in the background, can go idle when not doing anything interactive with the user, and can receive OS provided notification of events and stuff, and then take action on them.

It’s real multitasking, just not a multi-window multitasking like you think of on a desktop

Everything sounds good so far (well, won't use ibook), but hoping for a better notification system. Their pop up method doesn't work for multiple notifications.

Wait let me guess, Apple will give you a cut if you put their advertising in your app.

Apple you are evil lol.

Lol, you know how this seventh tent-pole started..

Steve: "The biggest problem with the App Store is that so many apps are free, how can we make money off those free apps?"

If they are introducing ads that make me watch a video before I can do something, or every 3 minutes I will be uninstalling every app that does it.
