pretty sure Chelsea won the title on tuesday/wednesday with the rooney/cesc injuries, and really made a statement on it today, and it pains me to say that. Liverpool are gonna get 4th as well Spurs decided that it wasn't worth it to suck on the last day of the season. Might as well just get it over with.

Wonder who buys Lennon/Modric/Bale/Palacios this summer

and Darren Bent still sucks

You know even though I really despise Tottenham (and large numbers of their UK fanbase) I almost feel a bit sorry for them. Cheering for Spurs might be like cheering for the Canucks or Flames where there has historically been some success (albeit little in the way of Vancouver) but mostly just crushing disappointment season after season.

What do you think diane?

Oh Spurs, well done Sunderland!

Well. No help from Burnley I see.

Just an absolutely putrid performance today. BAE is absolutely useless, but it wasn't just him today. No offensive creativity for the entire game. They looked like a team that had just come off a massive bender.

The race for 4th is going to be as tense as the race for the title.

My neighbour is a Man City fan, so I guess I have to cheer for them - or do I?

No need to feel sorry really haha

I wouldn't/couldn't ever change the club I support and most every spurs fan would say the same thing.

Is their a part of me that wishes that Abramovich liked the look of WHL better than stamford bridge on his little helicopter tour of london, maybe

I think I would rather cheer for a team who when they win something its a massive event, rather than a team who when they don't win its a huge failure

and to Darren Bent sucking helping me get to sleep at night, it doesn't, I was simply pointing out that he is not a good player at all.

Another big club dropping points at St. Andrews. Birmingham are turning out to be a pain the the arse for a few clubs and their supporters.

Birmingham 1 - 1 Liverpool

I'm thinking people shouldn't sleep on Villa. They have the easiest remaining schedule of and could quietly steal 4th.

Can't see them doing much. They have faded down the stretch quite significantly over the past few seasons. Not sure that this is going to change.

City are in pole position for 4th.

Ya I think Villa are done

was never really worried about them to be honest, MON is a good manager but his lack of subs and poor tactics really hurts them late in seasons

they just get too tired

I thought it would be Liverpool but that draw today really hurts them, 4 pts back of city, 3 from spurs and they have played 1 more game

its pretty much a 2 team race with City the favorite, both teams have a history of not getting it done though so it will be interesting to say the least. Run ins are similar as well

City have
Birmingham H
Man U H 1
Arsenal A
Villa H
Spurs H
West Ham A

Spurs have
Arsenal H
Chelsea H
Man Utd A
Bolton H
Man City A
Burnley H

I think spurs have the 2 easiest games on the list with Bolton and Burnley at home, Man City's only real easy game is Birmingham at home but they have surprised everyone all year so who knows. Not counting the West Ham game because if they need pts to stay up than Upton park will be a very tough place to get points from that day.

For Spurs to catch City they need to win one of the Arsenal/Chelsea games, 2 draws wouldn't even be enough. Need at least 3 points. And they need City to drops points to Villa and United at home.

I did the Premiership predictor at the BBC and I came out with

Spurs 64 36 played
Man City 63 36 played

right before the Spurs/City game, meaning if Spurs got a draw they would only need to beat Burnley at home on the final day, but if they lose they would need to beat Burnley and have West Ham get at least a draw if Spurs were still ahead on goal difference

I had Spurs losing to Chelsea/Man U and beating Arsenal and Bolton

City beating Birmingham, drawing Villa and losing to Utd and Arsenal

If City beat Utd or Arsenal without Spurs getting points against Chelsea/Man U I think City get 4th.

Feels dirty that I will have to be cheering for Arsenal and potentially West Ham in the next few weeks

You know I think I had the exact same reaction!

Mind boggling stuff from Benitez.
