Ya I think Villa are done
was never really worried about them to be honest, MON is a good manager but his lack of subs and poor tactics really hurts them late in seasons
they just get too tired
I thought it would be Liverpool but that draw today really hurts them, 4 pts back of city, 3 from spurs and they have played 1 more game
its pretty much a 2 team race with City the favorite, both teams have a history of not getting it done though so it will be interesting to say the least. Run ins are similar as well
City have
Birmingham H
Man U H 1
Arsenal A
Villa H
Spurs H
West Ham A
Spurs have
Arsenal H
Chelsea H
Man Utd A
Bolton H
Man City A
Burnley H
I think spurs have the 2 easiest games on the list with Bolton and Burnley at home, Man City's only real easy game is Birmingham at home but they have surprised everyone all year so who knows. Not counting the West Ham game because if they need pts to stay up than Upton park will be a very tough place to get points from that day.
For Spurs to catch City they need to win one of the Arsenal/Chelsea games, 2 draws wouldn't even be enough. Need at least 3 points. And they need City to drops points to Villa and United at home.
I did the
Premiership predictor at the BBC and I came out with
Spurs 64 36 played
Man City 63 36 played
right before the Spurs/City game, meaning if Spurs got a draw they would only need to beat Burnley at home on the final day, but if they lose they would need to beat Burnley and have West Ham get at least a draw if Spurs were still ahead on goal difference
I had Spurs losing to Chelsea/Man U and beating Arsenal and Bolton
City beating Birmingham, drawing Villa and losing to Utd and Arsenal
If City beat Utd or Arsenal without Spurs getting points against Chelsea/Man U I think City get 4th.
Feels dirty that I will have to be cheering for Arsenal and potentially West Ham in the next few weeks
