What exactly is it about Aero that makes it so good? I've never understood it. All it really is is chocolate with bubbles, but so much better than just a solid chocolate bar.

. What makes an Aero so good is the fact that it's decent chocolate, not the standard processed chocolate crap I have to deal with down here. There is a serious difference between Canadian chocolate and American chocolate when it comes to these things.

A few years ago, my Dad found a good sized bin of Oh Henry! bars down in California at the drug store near his store. He bought the entire bin.

Baby Ruth's are almost exactly like Oh Henry's. But I think Baby Ruth is better. I got some when I went down.

I thought beef down in your neck of the woods would taste different than beef in Canada. Or at least Western Canada. Down in Texas most beef would be feed corn. Here in Canada most beef would be finished with barley and feed wheat. When I lived in Australia the beef was very different than the beef here in Canada. In Australia most of the beef is grass fed, so it is a lot leaner and tougher.

I didnt say it didnt taste different, I just said beef taste good here too. I am all for Alberta Beef, I think it taste great. I also think the beef here tastes great too.
I sure wish I could get my family to smuggle some beef jerky for me . I still dont know why beef jerky is illegal to bring to the states from Calgary. When I come home I have brought beef jerky in my carryon and they never say a word to me .

I believe he's referencing the obesity so prevalent in the States. I often wonder if in a hundred years researchers will shake their heads in disbelief that we could be so stupid with our food choices, like how we used to use lead to seal canned food a hundred years ago.

In southern Alberta here, I have noticed more and more beef producers are switching to corn for cattle feed....must be cheaper.

Feedlots will bring in corn from the US if it is cheaper than local feed barley.

After BSE was found in Alberta in 2003 all beef products from Canada were banned in the USA. Since the border has been reopened their should not be a ban on beef products that I am aware of. Growing up along the border, I have found that certain customs officials on both sides can decide to ban what ever they feel like on certain days just for kicks.
