Still, not the greatest goal to give up considering it went right through him

They're really hating on Kipper.
They said that he was "allegedly" injured in 2006 but didn't miss any time in Calgary.
These guys are really being ######s!

I really like this Finnish team. They have some great chemistry already, as usual.

Kipper said he would only play if he was named starter, if that happened with one of the Canadian goalies most people wouldn't want that player on the team at all. He deserves all the criticism he gets for being so selfish.

So how come the Flames are kicking ass and taking names in the Olympics, but can't score for at the Dome?

they know the games AFTER the olympics are way more important. They were just holding back.

I do believe that Kipper was also snubbed by team Finland early in his career because they thought his hip wouldn't allow him to perform but nobody talks about that. He has every right to choose if he wants to play or not for the team after that.

Unless the developing play uses some sort of wide open net scenario, the goalie usually "has a chance" IMO. It's not like it was a glaring softy- Kipper has his body in good position to protect against a bang bang play to the guy alone in front, had the stick down- but he just relaxed the five-hole.

Hagman has made great plays on his pair. Loved that second goal.

Of course he has the right to choose whether or not he plays, but demanding to be named starter and screwing the teams other goalies is selfish IMO.
