There wasnt even enough interest to keep the second team from floating tits up.
Well, the softball team could use a pre-season tune up or two...

I feel that we should proudly remind others of our vaunted heritage as the SW team until the taint of Central has been irrevocably eradicated.

There was a NSA sno-pitch tourney that just wound up on Sunday. Next one if we are interested is mid March I think. 4x4 may have better details.

Plus, we avoid the automatic out when we're short a girl and the possibility of a forfeit.
If the girls are cool with this I think that is the best way to go.

Sometimes its nice to take a break and knock back a few beers until you're in that 'Ultimate Athletic Performance' zone....

I really do not have a problem with sitting out every once and a while. I just don't want it to be every Sunday night I have to sit out a whole game.

I dont think anyone has ever involuntarily sat out a whole game...well, not since the 'Great FKA Ankle Incident of '08....'

Or until you win something, at least. CPC did what so many greats failed to do, and went out as champions. If you behave yourself, some of us might show up one afternoon such that you may bow down, look up upon us with awe and be inspired by our presence.

I just figured that the main reason the other team folded was getting people out every week? We really only need 20 people for one day...even a guy like troutman could come out, hold the bat as though he was going to swing and then walk down to first base! (He might be retired, but the walker should hold up).

Went out like Champions? Champions of what? What did CPC win? Nothing.
In reality, CPC went down like Enron, in a tangled web of lies and failure.

We could probably get a few people out for Sunday with some decent weather, maybe mid-end of March or early April.
FKA, are you still buying that bat? Also, the lack of pub meets have limited my paying options...

We actually did win the tournament (* C-Division) in our league last year...
AND we won a game by actually beating them, not by the other team not showing up. Our overall record was probably 10-50 by the time we dissolved.
I accept fault for the team falling appart, as el capitano I did a terrible job of keeping morale high. We were a ball team first and a drinking team second... we were a half-terrible ball team and we were a terrible drinking team.
I have got to try to make it down to Pete's to take a little criticism for my failed team... when are you going next?

I was thinking of sliding over to Pete's tomorrow maybe for the game, maybe just to collect on some money.
Anyone else thinking of going out for the game? Or else just for a Sunday night beer?
Just outside with the kids...we should be playing in this weather!
