This score favors Norway now. Canada needs to get a quick goal in the second, and start burying their chances

who do you move for him though?
hes not getting on the SJ line, Stall is a better fit with the Ducks line, and they obviously think Bergeron has some chemistry with Crosby

How's Iggy been when he is on the ice?
Has he been moving his feet and being physical?
If he's not, that's probably why he's not getting much icetime.

I certainly didn't see it that way. Canada maybe had a few really good scoring chances.
And Norway is playing exactly like they need to play. A suffocating style of play that makes the Canadians turn back time and time again. Which is exactly what they were doing.
Canada needs to start playing some 'real 'hockey. Muck it up, start hitting, start shooting and start grinding it out.
If they can't score on this goalie, how will they score on Kipper?

If you aren't watching the game, then I don't think you are in any position to criticize any of us with respect to our posts. That was not an ideal period and while I am confident that they will pick it up, that kind of effort is not acceptable.

There is no wonder Nash has more breakaway and 2-1 goals in the league for the past 3 years. What a floater in the defensive zone. Not a team player at all. He is in it to score goals and screw the rest of the game is his motto.

No it's not just you. I'm a Canucks fan and I agree, Iginla should at least be getting a chance to show his stuff in this game. The guy scored 50 goals about 20 months ago and while he hasn't had the greatest season, he's still put up 27 goals without much in the way of complementary linemates. He's a proven goal scorer in the NHL and in the Olympics and is only 32 years old, so it's nothing like 37 year olds Yzerman and Lemieux stepping back a bit in 2002.

IMO he takes over Bergeron's spot in the second half of the game. If they get any sort of results, it'll probably stick for a few games.

I like where Iggy is now. When he was at his best in Salt Lake he played a similar role then when he produced people loved it. I like Iggy fighting for everything he get's. That is when he is at his best.

Yeah, that could be the problem right there.
I hope Babcock starts getting his head into the game. 5 years ago doesn't mean crap.
if it did they would have Gagne on the team and bring Sakic out of retirement.

It seems that he is really being penalyzed for not having a good regular season. Meanwhile, guys like Nash and Bergeron who are having equally disappointing seasons (if not worse) get rewarded with first line minutes.

I would say Iginla has been one of the few Canada forwards that have even made a hit. Iginla has crunched a few already.

I think that is the possibility
if Bergeron doesn't show anything with Crosby in today's game than I think they try Iginla with him on thursday

Nash isn't the only player on this team that plays like that.
The '02 team had a lot of heart and soul guys. I hope some of these guys can bring the same stuff.

Iginla and Gagne started off 2002 as the fourth line, once changes were made and Sakic was added as center it became the No.1 in effectiveness.
be patient and give it time
