Razor is included as the first disc of season four in my boxset.

It is decent. It is just more religious/tech primetime soap verses a military in space show. I have a huge rant buried in the Caprica thread somewhere.

So I guess next would be the 1980 short-lived revival (10 episodes, Lorne Greene + mostly new cast). And then I guess I go on to the new series. But I am lost there.

There is something called "BG: The Miniseries", "BG: Season 1", "BG: Razor", "BG: The Plan".... or can I forget all this and just go with "BG: The Complete Series in Bluray"?
The 1978 and 1980 series are completely unrelated to the new show. You don't have to be that anal about watching those to appreciate the new one.

As for which one to buy, Flashpoint was correct in his suggestion of getting the full thing on Blu-Ray. HOWEVER, if you don't want to suffer through a once-great sci-fi series spiraling into the depths of unwatchable dreck, I suggest you stop watching after the season 2 episode titled "Resurrection Ship: Part 2". There are a few good episodes after that point, but unfortunately they're few and far between.

What you didn't like the Super Scouts? Lame

There was only one good episode of Battlestar Galactica 1980 and that was the Starbuck flashback episode.

Other then that, terrible.

So here's the bizarre thing.

I went to look up the cast of Galactica 1980 once I heard the name Dr Zee

One of the Super Scout child actors actually beat his girlfriend to death, kidnapped his son and vanished for 4 years. He was found and shot to death by police after being featured on American's Most wanted.

That is very fracked up.

But also cool trivia!

Alright I know I'm late to the party, but I'm finally watching season 4 and just watched the episode where Cally gets airlocked.

Holy frack.

Oh great, the way you ask that means I'm going to hate it aren't I?

The gloves certainly come off in season 4.

I can't even really remember what happens in the finale, so when you watch it, tell us how you feel about it, and then tell us what happens in it.

That reminds me, I still need to watch 'The Plan'. Heck while I'm at it I should just marathon the entire series again.

Entertainment Weekly only yesterday named the Battlestar finale #14 on the top 20 greatest finale's in television history.

Lost was #7.

Don't read this link if you haven't seen the finale: http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20387623,00.html

Wow ... that list is pretty much a disaster since it has two "dream sequence" series endings as numbers 1 and 2.
