For the first time ever I tried the Marathon - lightweight combo... Wow are you ever fast. I used the tactical knife attachment and went 27 - 25 and won my game first try.
What primary weapon do you suggest you team up with this? I just went for something that looked small.

Nope I didnt , it was slow going all day. Even after the flames game I got on and struggled. It seemed like every game I played the other team constantly had had heli, chopper gunners, and AC130's in the air. It was the same group of guys so I am not sure if it was legit or a package glitch that constantly let them have this stuff. Oh well there is always the next day!!!!
Good times playing with you as well! Hopefully we can catch each other online again soon.

I use one of the smg's the p90 or whatever its called.... it works well... You know you can also run really fast using these perks using the Shotguns!
I brought my vengence last night after the Flames loss. Started using the M16 and wow am I impressed with it
I went 31-4 running around with it (although the pave low and sentry gun did most of the work)
I saw it on a video, but scavenger and Claymore combo can be quite useful. Use claymores to guard your flank, get a few kills, and move on and place more claymores. Very good safe strategy

You should use the commando perk as well with that. The three of those perks (plus tactical knife) are ridiculous together, you're super-fast and can stab someone from about 10 feet away.
Only disadvantage is that the heartbeat-monitor, predator missile types will be all over you.
No they definitely nerfed the Rangers. I got to be super close to kill people now.
Yesterday I got my K/D ratio from 1.25 to 1.27! Slowly climbing haha. It will be constant, then I go 41/21, 12/2, etc. and it climbs. It is going to take me forever to get to my goal of being in the 1.4's.

That's a good call, I like that. I just unlocked the claymores a few nights ago. probably a good strategy for a pansy camper like myself.
Claymores are good even if you don't camp. I like to plant them in discrete places, because they will almost certainly grab you one or two extra kills every time they are down. Keep your stock filled with Scavenger and you will find yourself rewarded. In particular, I like planting them in known sniper posts, because they inevitably net your Buzz Kills.
Claymores rule. Best placement I have found is right around corners as close to the near-side wall as you can get it and point it a tiny bit toward the wall so the infra-red beams aren't as noticable. When buddy hits it just run up with scavenger and plant another one in the same spot. For some reason the guy usually comes back with a heavy focus on finding you and you can easily blast him while he's akwardly trying to angle around the corner to shoot the claymore.

I can't say enough about the M16! I have never used claymores but you've convinced me to give it a try. Don't ever miss throwing a semtex at a guy though?
The Claymores are awesome, but the C4's are pretty sweet too. Just lay it in a hallway where lots of people go, you see shooting and it goes BOOM. I got 4 kills one time doing that. Gets me lots of my packages

I do, but I already passed the challenge for Semtex (getting 5 people with stick grenades I think?). However, I found that sometimes, even though I got it stuck on a guy, he still has enough time to kill me before the semtex explodes.
Important thing with Claymores, don't use it as soley as a camping tool. Enough people have that ninja perk (or is it scrambler) that they won't trip your claymore. Also as other have noted, it pisses people off that they become determined to hunt you down. Therefore, keep moving. Get a couple of kills and move on.
To be extra annoying, don't plant the claymore in the same place all the time, switch it up so people get use to it being in one position and set it off in a direction they weren't expecting it to be.
A random claymore in a well used path is also a good idea (ie, the stairs in skidrow, the tunnel to the airplane in terminal, outside the doors to the buildings in scrapyard)

It was the range that was adjusted. The 1887s/Rangers are powerful, but before, there range was greater than 3m. People were pretty much running around with double of them, and if anyone enter your sites, they were automatically dead.

Range/Power, essentially the same thing when you got Akimbo. But the 1887's range is still way too high. I'd be using them over the Rangers but I don't have them unlocked yet. The 1887's can kill people from 6m's away easily, the Rangers range is around 2M now.
I went 23-1-0 in a game the other night; definitely the best game I've ever played. I normally don't have high kill streaks, so my kill streak rewards weren't that great. Officially I only got a 20 kill streak though because 3 of my kills were due to my rewards.
What are the best matches that you guys have played and thus remember.
I got thinking that since my top kill streak reward is at like 7 or 8 kills that I should just off myself after I get my final reward so that I can start to get them again and hopefully finish with a higher overall number of kills.
Also I usually play Domination or big team games, my buddy just sort of got me into hardcore though; I thus created a new weapon class for when I play this type of game (different perks used). I normally get the same number of kills per game, but my deaths increase in this type so far.
Also UAV becomes crucial in the game, so I change my kill streaks when I play HC. I think that you should have kill streak rewards that go with each class instead of one master that you currently have to use/change.
