Bloody hell, this is awful.

I was really liking the Tonight Show with Conan. I've never hated Jay Leno so much but I think I really do now.

Tiger? How about Dave? No one cares about his transgressions any more now that there is a much juicier late night scandal.

this is great news actually IMO. Conan has never been funnier than he is now without any bosses to worry about pleasing and he's just doing whatever the hell he wants now. if he leaves NBC and gets a new show on FOX, it would be way more entertaining than a Tonight Show that has to pander to a specific audience

I don't like his chances on Fox.

The bad:
Fox has a history of latenight talk shows bombing. It remains to be seen whether this is demographics, or poor development.
Fox has a history of cancelling good shows, despite loyal fan followings. I'm not sure that they're really that much more honorable than NBC.

The good:
It's a better demographic fit - Fox's whole advertising and positioning is based on attracting younger viewers, the same sort who watch Conan.
Potentially good timeslot - If Fox puts him on at 11:00, as rumoured, he gets a half-hour head-start, and is going against the regional news on other networks. He'll also have lead-ins like Idol, Glee, Fringe, and X Factor.
More realistic expectations - he's competing against a legacy of rerun shows on Fox latenight, and he won't need to satisfy a lot of affiliates, since most are owned and operated by Fox.
Fox, as the number one network on TV right now, has a great stable of stars and reality TV personalities who fit with Conan's demographic, giving him an excellent crop of guests, as well as potential promotional tie-ins with ratings juggernauts like American Idol.

NBC's Zucker reminds me of the ######bag Warner CEO from Entourage.

that was back in the early 90's when Fox was still relatively new and didn't have the ratings of the big 3 networks. now they are the biggest and the lead in to any late night talkshow would be American friggin Idol. if they get Conan to take up that timeslot i could see him doing extremely well

If Conan moves to Fox, I hope NBC bombs in ratings. Zucker is such a ######bag. He's been the mastermind behind NBC falling from first place to dead last for a decade.

The only good thing to come out of NBC (besides Conan) is Heroes.

All else is crap.

The Office and 30 Rock are good. Southland was pretty good but NBC screwed that one up.

Is 30 Rock really like Emmy good though?

i think so. it's like a more mainstream Arrested Development. the writing isn't as rapid fire, but it's just as smart and they have a lot of inside jokes that rely on the viewers having seen past episodes. plus Alec Baldwin is so awesome in that show he alone makes up for any deficiencies it may have

This is a fascinating story for me, as I am almost never awake to watch these late night talk shows. In the one night out of 50 that I happen to be awake, I'm watching SportsCentre.

Been done before with a number of things, but still pretty funny. Subtitles are NSFW
