Good to know man, me and my buddy mainly play Special Ops and we just unlocked Echo. We are having a heck of a time even passing Homeland Security on Regular, let alone Hardened or Veteran. Any advice there?

I'm a sucker for trying to kill the camper that just killed me. The sad part is, he will usually kill me 3 times before I get him once... bad idea, especially in team death match.


I have gotten more into this COD than any other. It certainly has it's problems but I personally think the maps are better than the original modern warfare.

I've had a lot of success with taking out campers by using flashbangs. Odds are he's probably still camping in the same spot he killed you (find out exactly where by looking at the kill cam). Before running in a second time, just chuck a flashbang in there. He'll be completely blind if it lands anywhere near him, then you can just run up and stab him while he can't see. Very satisfying.

lol.... yeah, i won't even try to pick the guy off with my rifle. i will go up and stab him, cuz it is more satisfying.

Maybe it's nostalgia but I still think the MW1 maps are better. I would love to see them release those maps as DLC.

you're right, there's nothing like sneaking up behind a camper and stabbing him. I have to do some private games to get to know the maps a little better though. Sometimes I will watch a kill cam and have no idea where the guy is.

Ahh shipment, the best of MW1. My strategy was to use a shotgun (back when that meant something), smoke grenades and extra frags. Lob 3 frags then berserker attack. Get my 7 kills and call in a chopper. One of the only maps I consistently got top kills on.

i would bomb grenade and smoke, throw on nightvision and run aroundt he outskirts of the map

I think Shipment was the level that made MW2 limit the number of frags you can carry. I remember when the game first starts, you just get people lobbing grenades everywhere
Very fun map though. If you can get the chopper, you pretty much win the game as the map is pretty small

MW2: If you have "Bling" unlocked, a red dot sight and grip attachments can turn your LMG into a sniper rifle.

Yep, up the side and once you got behind enemy lines, you came back and shot everyone from behind.

No way, that's the best way to get kills. Go get the guy and then hang out close by for him to come back and get him again. Move to a different spot close by, rinse and repeat. Some guys get so frustrated that they turn their mikes on just to swear at you in the lobby after. Love it.

Another fun kill is to find a guys tactical insertion and then put a well place claymore (or two if you have scavenger) around it. Then hunt him out and get the tactical deletion.

It's sweet when you can get the revenge but every time i'll try to go back for revenge it usually takes multiple deaths. So I just stopped focusing on it. I guess for me it creates tunnel vision and usually ends up with him killing me or someone else.

Which one is Homeland Security? Is it that one where you have to fend off the 5 waves of guys in Burgertown? I am 99.9% that is the one. For that me and my buddy were struggling and failed dozens of times (we couldn't even do it on normal). I played with my other friend and we beat it our 2nd time on Veteran. :P

For this, your turret is going to get most of the kills. As soon as you spawn pick up the weapons in front of you (I personally like the thermal sniper), then run to your left and jump in the building. This diner building is where your going to be for all the waves. Pick up the turret and set in the front by the entrance, not outside, just inside, but facing out (not looking at the doorway, facing the glass). The other turret (by the spawn), you put outside the doorway. Just outside somewhere, but close enough that enemies shouldn't break it.

Now just kill everyone. Always leave the BTR's and Heli's until the very end of the wave, kill all the foot soldiers first. Then go blow up the vehicles.

With the BTR left on one of the first waves I even ran to the bank (I think it is), and picked up a third turret and put it in front of the diner.

Watch the back as enemies will come through the back, that's why claymores are good to set up. It should be pretty easy as the turrets almost kill everyone and you can get the few it doesn't.




Edit: And I found a new glitch. It is so incredibly bitch I won't even post it. I went 40-19 with it my first game.

Well it is official. This game has 1 good map, and it is even wearing thin on me (Afghan). Seriously, all the maps in this game suck, and they aren't even tolerable, they just plain suck.

To anyone who actually think this game has good maps, post which you think is good, and I'll tell why it sucks. The amount of idiots/a-holes who play this game coupled with the crap maps, paired with the amount of glitches, added on with the broken spawning, multiplied by the fact that a effing .50caliber Barrett sniper takes 2 bullets to kill someone: this game is just awful.

It isn't like I suck either, for the people on CP who have me on their friends list can verify that, although it may not be "l33t" my K/D ratio is 1.24.

I enjoy it. I'm not very good at the game, but I still enjoy it. It can get frustrating at times, but that's part of the fun with it. If the .50 cal was a one hit shot, that would be like AWP-whoring in CS. Way too cheap, and everyone would just use that. The only map I really hate is wasteland.
