So I queued up with Futureshop for a new TV. Got to the front of the line and got this:
FSDataAccess error '800a000d'
Type mismatch
/Checkout/CheckoutControlLib. asp, line 79
Now my item is sold out... I couldn't be happier
Screw FS...

I had to go through the BestBuy checkout process about 20 times. I got various errors in doing so. However, I did eventually get the laser printer that I wanted.

All the guys out east on RFD seem to be salivating over the 50" Pioneer Kuro (the Pioneer Elite plasmas) that sell for $5000 but are on sale at Soundsurround for $2000 or something like that.
I don't have $2K to spend, or any use for a big screen TV but I would recommend that TV.

The Future Shop in Deerfoot Meadows had a good 100 people lined up at 5:30am. I just sat in my car until 6. It was pretty savage in there, I didn't get the Sharp Aquos 40" for $600 those vultures grabbed them up quick, but I did get a 40" Dynex 1080p for $500 for my room so that's a pretty killer deal. All together with 2 yr warranty, blu ray player, hdmi cables for player and 360 it came to about $900.
Good deal imo.

If only they still had the 60" Pro141FD available.
I'd go into debt for one of those!

I love the online shopping era. I haven't had a properly working house phone for almost a year. I decided it was finally time to get on that. Find a set on the best buy site that is almost half price. Out of stock. Order it, still get them for super cheap and for $5 they'll show up at my door whenever they are back in stock. Beauty.

I got a LG CL11 42" 1080p LCD for $700 today from The Source.
Not the greatest, games like Fifa 10 where its little things moving fast can be kind've choppy when the camera moves fast but Modern Warfare and movies are perfect.
I love it for $700

Picked up a satellite radio and a Harmony remote for gifts and some memory cards, plus some gifts for the kid.
Got a $99 blu-ray player yesterday as well, the same one everywhere else had for $149. Blockbuster of all places.

Never stepped foot in any stores today. All my shopping was done online at Staples, Best Buy, Future Shop and Amazon. Stress free shopping. Can't stand the crowds and long lines.

I do almost all my electronics shopping on line as there isn't a whole lot of selection or good prices around here. Sometimes if I'm going to the big city soon, I'll do the on-line purchase and pick it up on my trip.
I couldn't find anything on my shopping list this time but I ended up ordering this cheap sub-woofer. It has good reviews, all I need is something that makes noise, and I've promised myself one for a long time but never got around to it before.
