Same with Calgary Transit buses.

which is why you always see them stuck on hills after a decent snowfall. the fact that Calgary Transit doesn't use winter tires is downright idiotic, not a reason that this proposal shouldn't go through

However the multitude of hot girls in Bikini's helps that out. Good looking girls in turtlenecks? Not quite as good.

When does winter driving start. Because I hadn't put on my all-weathers yet until after the October storm. If I had crashed then, would there be a fine? I doubt anyone had their winters on at that point.

Maybe if they set it from Dec 1 to Mar 1 or something like that.

Hell, tire shops already struggle with keeping up when people are putting on their tires and taking them off. It's a logistical nightmare to have a whole city trying to change every single tire on the road twice a year.

i rather see people get fined who don't pass mandatory annual review of driver's license. i think it's more problem of how people drive then the winter tires. or you blame god for all of the crap. screw you diane urqhuart, now i see why she was not elected in the glenmore by election.

Agreed, 99% of the problem is the driver's themselves.

Dianne must have some ownership in a tire shop.

Some of you may find this interesting. Here are the plowing timelines here in NS.

http://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/winter/Win...eStandards.pdf

I live approx 40 km's from Halifax and even during a storm the snowplow can be seen several times going around our subdivision. Even if we have a large dumping of snow through the night most of the roads are pavement for the drive into work the next day.
