Left work early on the pretext of auto safety and, instead of driving home, went for a run in Fish Creek Park . . . . . . it's windy, it's snowy but strangely not too cold. Actually kinda fun in a masochistic kind of way.
Strangely, I seemed to be the only one out there.
Now, I have to convince one of my dogs to go outside and take a pee. She crosses the threshold and - perhaps exercising common sense - turns right around.

The worst part is that the snow isn't that wet heavy snow, that's pretty easy to drive in. It's that light crystaly snow that doesn't pack down, fffkkkk!

I wish I could hibernate this weekend but I have to work tomorrow and have an xmas party and b-day party. *sigh*

C-Life, that's a sick ride. That front end just looks so mean.
I thought about venturing outside today, but it looks like I'm better off just using the stuff I've got for my paper already. I'll head to the library tomorrow.

Don't know - I am on the train right now and it is packed. Seems like a lot of people are heading home early...at this rate, the roads (and buses&trains) might be empty during rush hour

Well I didn't buy it for the snow. I bought it cause it's a really nice car and not ######edly expensive. About a year after I bought it I get a job that entails driving all day including in the snow so I just get winter tires and it's fine. Plus I can write off 90% of the cost so that helps. Also she's a 5 speed so that REALLY helps in the snow.
I would love an Evo tho.

Yeah an Evo would be awesome but they are crazy expensive starting at $42K. But they are totally sweet cars. C-life your Lancer looks really nice. If it's your winter beast what's your summer car?

*yawn*
cakewalk. it's not icy just lots of snow. slow going in the city. but i was driving 80-100km/hr between calgary and okotoks.
just don't do anything stupid and be considerate of other drivers.
worst part of the day was when a taxi pulled in front of me jumping two lanes while going up a hill. because of him i had to slow down to like 10 and stop at a light instead of keeping my momentum going up the hill. of course he had a rear wheel drive with no snow tires and was swerving all over the place.

Wow, was that front cold. Preaching to the choir, but I about froze my ass off someone had the great idea of having a bbq for christmas at work so I helped cook. It was a nice 39°F at one point with a rain sleet mix and 20MPH winds so felt like 19°F. Of course that kind of weather to someone used to 90°-100°F is unbearable.
