Cheating is cheating, whether you do it once or lots.

Countdown to Tiger publically entering a post Rehab facility for his sex addiction.

Many of you who sit on here and logically tell themselves and others that cheating is bad and they would never do it..........are kidding themselves, and the stats prove it.

When you are talking about the process of attraction and sex, logic goes out the window pretty quickly from the mans point of view. It is an emotion........a feeling.

Of course this is coming from a guy who doesnt think long term marriage is a natural thing either. We train ourselves to be faithful so we can try and fit into our culture, but men are wired to spread the seed.....

I think marriage should be structured much like a sports contract. Instead of "until death do us part".....you sign a 5/10/15 year marriage contract. When the contract expires and either party wants to go their separate ways, they are free to do so. You could also "trade" contracts (ie swap wives), etc.....damn I am on to something here.

The person I feel sorry for is Tigers wife and his kids. Trust was broken and i'm not sure it can be regained. If divorce happens I hope she takes him to the cleaners.
I never had much respect for him to begin with. I respect his ability.... but basically thats as far as it goes. In my opinion he's cocky, self-centered, arrogant, and a poor sport. Some of his temper tantrums on the golf course are embarrassing to watch. Golf is supposed to be a "gentleman's game". Woods sometimes dishonors the tradition. .... a lack of "class" in my opinion..... which has obviously carried through into his personal life with respect to his wife and children.

I'd be concerned if it was shown he cheated on the golf course.

This is all just gossip and fluff.

Or since marriage and love is more about emotion long term rather than sex, have it be an open marriage where occasional flings are OK.

The other option is to have discipline and to not put yourself in bad situations aka women + alcohol. Or in Tiger's case to not be such a blatant, irresponsible ######.

Get over it. When a man has become accustomed to doing certain things and his wife (who may or may not have done certain things) refuses to take part in those activities once they are married it can be too much for some guys. Sometimes those certain things are the peak of a man's satisfaction and other times they are frills that he can learn to live without.

For instance, imagine if marriage was like eating at the greatest burger and fries restaurant of all time. You figure that things will continue to be awesome there forever and look forward to eating all of your meals there. Then the maitre D' comes out and tells you that they are no longer serving french fries, that you shouldn't ask for them and that he will become very upset if you ever bring up the topic again.

Sure you still love the burgers but they are just not the same without the wonderful fries you discovered you really like. You keep eating the great burgers for a while and then you say "F#$& it, I want some goddamned fries" and you sneak off to McDonalds. You end up eating some crappy burgers but finally you have the french fries you were longing to have.

The message to everyone: DO NOT DENY A MAN HIS FRIES AND HE WON'T SKIP YOUR BURGER TO GO GET THEM!

Yup. And "I did not have sex with that woman" also comes to mind.

Or the right message of forgiveness and commitment to their marriage vows, for better or worse. I commend people who work these things out and make their marriages stronger. Divorce is the easy way out. And I don't believe she will ever be able to 'ignore' this. She has already shown it is a big deal.

I dont think they are at an age that they would understand this right now.

Unless you are referring to later in life when they inevitably learn about Tigers follies. But by then "hopefully" they will have had a better father and family situation and will be mature enough to understand things better.

If this same thing happened when they were older, it would be more damaging IMO.

No way. If you actually believe in what marriage is supposed to be, adultery is the highest transgression you could possibly have. Once it's done, it's done. There's no forgiveness for this, unless either the wife is a chump (could be, because Tiger is a billionaire) or the man is.

My question is why these women are so forthcoming in their accounts with Tiger. You'd think if they respected him at all, they'd keep it secret. Even Monica Lewinsky refused to say anything about Clinton to the media even when probed, and only her best friend (probably out of jealousy) busted her for it.
