Unless I am missing something, the game never had dedicated servers (MW1), at least on the console it didn't. It has always been peer-to-peer, and it rarely lagged.

What do you mean about the weapons being unbalanced?

Play CoD:WaW and then play MW. There is a huge difference, MW is good, WaW is a piece of crap.

Thank you.
I shouldn't need to explain, it is quite obvious.

I now am firmly on board with not buying Modern Warfare after this rousing question an answer period.

I'm not normally a first person shooter guy, and I've definitely never been an online first person shooter guy...but Modern Warfare changed that for me.
COD4 was/is just ridiculous fun, no bugs, great maps and it's just very fluid. I bought WaW and I just wasn't as impressed. The vehicles took away from the game, in my opinion, plus it just felt a little bit more clunky than MW did.
There's also obviously the fact that MW uses current guns that, let's face it, are just more fun to play with than clunky, old iron sight guns like the ones in WaW.
For those reasons, plus the fact that Inifinity Ward really seems to have a formula down pat for a great game, I have already pre-ordered MW2 and am really excited about it.

No dedicated servers sucks. I like being able to pick what I want to join and be able to leave whenever I want.

Only 1 more week. I would recommend pre-ordering because I bet a lot of places will be sold out.

I've usually never had issues with a game going out of stock, at least on the super popular ones. They order so many copies that it shouldn't be an issue at places like FS/BB/walmart.

Well, I played through quite a few levels tonight. I was totally underwhelmed. This game is a yawn fest. It's lower in quality than the first Modern Warfare.
The same tired COD cliches are played out so much so that I don't ever want to play a COD game again.
Again, the invisible walls, the hordes of respawning enemies that give zero satisfaction with a kill, and now even more silliness like snowmobile racing while shooting from one hand and mowing down civilians for the greater good and yes...a heart-beat detector ripped right out of the 23rd century from Aliens.
I seriously was falling asleep on the couch playing this. Most of the time I had no idea what my mission was and I didn't care because the ever-present and alarmingly conscious fact that all I had to do was fight through respawning enemies to the direction of the arrow on my screen meant that I was going forward in the level. My brain completely zoned out of boredom.

what I hated about WaW was all the "gun experts" that dont know how to pronounce the name of the damn gun its pronounced Ge Verh not guwer. or the guys that go out an by modded controllers or the people that do the free online glitch. But you have to be the host to do that.

You have the game already? How'd you manage that one? Try it again tomorrow and give us a rating from 1-10 (though already I don't think it'd get past the 5 mark).

easy, he modded his xbox and got an illegal copy, so he's complaining despite not even paying for it.
