I just heard that the clinics are closed because they have run out of vaccine.

I also think it was a pretty obvious oversight to not have something/somewhere specific set up for the "high-risk" groups to get priority vaccines.

My best friends wife is a nurse and she says there was little planning into this. Last Sunday she was asked if she would help admister the H1N1 shots. She said the govt should have planned the staffing of these clinics months ago.

Well generally when you tell someone to "rest in peace" they are dead. So, if you used it in that context it's seems like your implying that he is going to die.
I don't see how telling him to "rest in peace" after he says he isn't getting the shot is telling him that he's being foolish, unless of course you mean that he is going to die as a result of not getting the shot.

Brentwood is a gong show right now. No parking. Huge line outside, winding all around the north side. Various media types there.

Well according to Wikipedia the population of Alberta is 3,632,483 so if 400 people die that is 0.011% of the population.
There where over 400 deaths on Alberta highways alone in 2008.

Well the clinics close at 3:30 on friday, if it was such a big pandemic you'd think they'd be running these things almost 24hours. Looks like the clinics are only open from 8:30 to 3:30 on the week-end as well. If you are planning on getting the shot I recommend being there around 6:30am.

Actually, I think the quote you are referring to is this (and by the way, I still stand behind it):

... and I think that because:
1) either because they are too lazy to get it
2) they believe some stupid misinformation generally put out by some "Doctor" of Chiropractory or "Doctor" of Naturopathic Medicine, or some other quack.
3) they think that getting the flu shot will make them sick with the flu (which again is stupid because the virus is dead)
4) some other equally stupid reason.

Perhaps you're the one who should "lighten up" after painting all the people who voted to not get the shot as "brain-dead".

Not in Calgary, if you are so keen on getting it then I would suggest making sure you are in a line at 6:30am tomorrow.
