how do you accidentally stick your fingers in someones mouth?
She was trying to get her to smile by tracing a smiley motion from cheek-to-cheek on my daughter with her finger (don't know if I'm really explaining it that well). When she was going across her chin, my daughter's head kind of bobbled and there went the finger straight into her mouth. Ugh!!!!!
I always found that if I waited a day or two before proofreading a paper I always did MUCH better.
When writing it I always know what I mean to say. Once I gave it a bit of time then I could see areas that weren't explained correctly.
And while I always intended to do that, 95% of the time I was fighting to get the paper done in time to hand in. You could probably count the number of papers I did early on your fingers. But the ones I did early always benefited from that last delayed proofread.
You're probably right about waiting a few days before proofreading a paper, but unfortunately for me, I just finished writing the paper now and have to hand it in in a few hours... so it doesn't look like waiting a few days to re-read it will be an option.
I always tend to leave papers to the very last minute, I usually work best under pressure, but sometimes I really wonder if I'd do even better if I gave myself more time to write, re-read and edit things.

Anyone who works with any form of parking authority should have something awful happen to them on a daily basis. People say that telemarketers are the lowest from of employment, I disagree writing parking tickets is the saddest thing a person can do (I realize that this is pretty unreasonable, but I loath parking cops and any form of parking authority).

Have you seen the nail polish that comes in a pen-type thing now? You can paint your nails and it's like you're painting a picture - no bottle to play with, it's lovely!!!
Question for those of you who are smarter than I. I used the self clean feature on my oven for the first time last night, and it seemed to work pretty well. However, I forgot to take out the oven racks, which I remembered I was supposed to do. They seem to have changed colour a little bit, and they're a bit difficult to pull from the oven...they don't slide like they used to.
Are they OK to keep using you think? If not, where does one buy new oven racks that will fit my particular oven?

That's not good, dude. Apparently if you do that, the chemicals from the coating on the racks can get into the heating elements of the oven. It can seriously contaminate your food if you use it after that. My cousin did this once and he ended up having to get a new oven.

This is the first and only upside I've heard for an "economy" oven that doesn't have the self-clean feature (like mine).
