Nothing major, I stopped to make a turn and some guy couldn't stop and at slow speed rear-ended the bumper. I didn't stop abruptly either.

So because I live in Chaparral and work in Sundance I should pay for my own snow removal? I do not understand your logic.
(I am not sure how far I am from city centre but I am about as far south as you can go so I assume this comment is directed at someone like me.)

I took a picture of an 18-wheeler that was about to hit me this morning too!
Also, I died.

I didn't have any problems, but then I have a Subaru - don't even need winter tires. This is a glorious day, my friends - hundreds of potential clients.

wow. Our dbag Mayor is delayed an hour today. Well i'm glad it inconvenienced him enough to fix a citywide problem.
After his 11-kilometre morning commute to City Hall took an hour longer than normal today, Mayor Dave Bronconnier said Calgary needs a bigger fleet to handle wintry roads

Despite perennial surveys saying Calgarians want better snow-removal service but don’t want to pay more for it

Who says this? Which idiots wants better snow-removal services but doesn't want to pay for it?

Of course you may not want some of my neighbours living next to you. Although if that is what it takes to prompt them to move closer to downtown then the resulting increase in my property value (not to mention increase in my mental well being) will make the cost of a good set of winter tires well worth the trade off.
