Gambling might be the bigger of the 3 problems for me. Cause when I'm bored I'll bet on some stupid sporting event. I used to be really hooked on online poker but I've totally quit that.

I've always wondered why asians love gambling so much more than us wide eyes. Every time I go to a casino (which is admittedly rare), it's totally disproportionate the amount of asians I see compared to say - going to Ranchmans...

I've been "clean" for 3 years. It just opens your eyes to the mind-screw tactics by cigarette companies to make you think it's hard to quit.
Works for some. Doesn't hurt to give it a try.

Really now. I just might read this. I believe I've been told about this book before by someone else who swears by it. You are correct; it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

What's that they say about insanity and genius? There's a fine line between them?
IMO, the inventor was a genius.
And as a random thought contribution, I still remember the rush I got when I learned about this multi-quote feature. It changed my life! I believe I owe Firefly a TYVM for that.

Cause we're greedy, lazy slobs who want to make a quick buck.
I don't know.. I think it's just our thing. Why do people go to the Ranchmans? One reason may be Asians don't fight addictions well. They have a passive, quiet personality and don't admit to such problem or don't have the inner strength to fight addition. Not sure if that makes sense.

Was it something I did?
It was the picture of "Poo-babeh" wasn't it?
I'm sorry. I will cease posting pictures of my kids bowel movements if it means you don't go...

Question: If I wish Rockstar well, can I get a cheap thanks from him as well, or am I too late because he has run out?

I've only been to Ranchmans twice in my life, but both times I was there, there was nary an asian to be seen.

I was going to ask Bingo and Jiri about their feelings on the locking and subsequent creation of the new random thought thread in the CP radio live thread on Wednesday night. Maybe next time.

Anyone else hate that guy from the Windsor System Saver Pellets commercial that says "You gotta get the good one"?
Something about him... he just looks evil. He'd make a great creepy villain in some horror movie.

This part I really wonder about too. I have a few Asian collegues who love the casinos and work in areas which require a high level of math skills. You'd think that people who have a good grasp on probability concepts wouldn't waste so much time playing games that are statistically rigged against them! The upside though is that whenever there is a Veags trip, casinos send limos to the airport to pick them up and treat them like royalty!

I think that's just it. Asian think they can beat the system with their superior math skills. The thing is you do win sometimes.. and that win can be a such a big rush and then before you know it, it's all gone again.
I don't know...I've known family members caught up in gambling.. friends too.. knew a guy who committed suicide, knew a guy who nearly went to jail cause he stole cheques.
Really don't know what it is. DNA? I like to gamble too but have to be very very careful. Have to have a budget.

That's doesn't do anything for me. I laugh when guys slap each other's butts. The other day I saw a defender dive to break up a pass and the receiver helped him up slapped him in the butt.. they're not even teammates, they're strangers!

I think I'm going to go out drinking tonight and get drunk enough so that I can mistake the red and black of the Flames for the gold standard franchise of the NHL, the Ottawa Senators.
