You could always employ the modified woods-Seuss method...
Poo....
In her shoe,
And tell her
It was you...

Me thinks you might want to sit back in your chair. It's probably like the picture of the chick in the short skirt that never appeared.
Personally, I think it's because she told people she works at Hockey Life in Cross Iron Mills so she hears people snicker as they walk through the store and point out all the guys in there flaunting their girlfriends and so on.

I spent a good chunk of time at Hockey Life in CrossIron Mills and of the 15 or so girls working, I saw one mildly attractive one. So maybe she wants to find a job where there's more eye candy?

Well she just needs to apply at a different store in the mall then. There were a lot of hot chicks walking around the mall when I was there.

The main reason why Im quitting is cause the job isnt worth it for what it pays. It pays like crap and for all the hassle and time it takes to get to and from the mall and dealing with the gongshow on weekends its just not worth it. Plus they keep giving me 4hr shifts and they said they dont plan on changing that. When I work anything longer during the week, its so dead that they will most likely always let me go home early. I was let go 4 times in the past 2 weeks on what was scheduled 8hr shifts, turned into 3hr shifts! Sorry but for what this job pays, im not waking up 6:30 in the morning and deal with mad rush hour traffic to only work 3hrs.

Yes. You just have to serve a six week waiting period instead of a two week. Assuming that you qualify for the maximum benefits, as most people who go on EI do, you are basically costing yourself four weeks of benefits (approx $1600) to quit instead of waiting to be terminated.
|
How long do you have to be employed to get EI after quitting?

In your case I would recommend, sit down with her and tell her that you are going to ressign from your job. Thank her for the opportunity (never be rude, as person never knows how connected a person could be).
If she asks why tell her you are going to look for a job in a different field or looking for a full time position... etc

Not Misskat. She doesn't even like it when other girls have it given to them.

I was thinking about not responding to this complete trainwreck of a thread but- embarassingly- I've actually waded my way all the way to the last page hoping to see some hilarious witty remarks (there were a couple, thanks for those people).
But the truth of the matter is, these ridiculous threads are exactly the kind of stuff I squirm at when I'm cruising through CP which I seem to have an addiction to. I suppose it's simply because it represents a slowly eroding integrity of the website to me, and since I'm addicted, I'd like the mods to continue to strive for the quality they've created by locking threads that ask such important life questions such as "how do I tie my shoes?" and "I'm having a heart attack, what do I do?"
Anyway as to the terrible topic at hand, I guess I have to just recap to illustrate the stupidity of the situation. You are 27, work a job you don't care about / don't like, don't care for the "scary" manager, but don't know how to quit???? What is the manager going to do, punch you? Who gives a rats ass if the person is scary, your encounter with them will last about 5 seconds and you'll be replaced faster than you can say goodbye. Not really a tough situation to be honest.

bwaahaaahaaa, are you her girlfriend, or chivalrous knight in shining armour come to save her from the internet baddies, with hopes of getting to the friends zone with her?

Well, color me disappointed. I was hoping for sexual harrassment or something.

Don't you have to work a minimum of 4 hours? I swear I've heard that before but I could be out to lunch

I have a hard time believing anyone who asks these types of questions/has these types of problems is actually 27.

I have about 7 or 8 jobs on my resume but thinking about cutting it down to perhaps 5?
