That thermite is not able to cut through the beams in the towers, and the thermite that is allegedly able to cut through the beams is either called super thermite, or nano thermite.

If you read the popular mechanics article that refutes the loose change movie, they say that WTC 7 came down because of the damage sustained to the building from the other towers. Combined with construction of the building that was required do to is location.

Basically they set up an experiment where they packed 170 pounds of thermite around a metal beam that was about 1/8th the size of a beam in the world trade center and ignited it. The thermite failed to damage the beam.

When they went back to the truthers they bought up the concept of super thermite which is a theorized military grade thermite that could be painted on the beams, at which point the engineer that conducted the experiment laughed and said that it wasn't likely that there was a thermite compound that could be painted on a beam ignited that would cut through a beam the size of the ones at the world trade center.

They also showed the loose change footage of the shower of sparks that they say indicate an explosion of thermite to which the demolition expert stated that thermite doesn't explode it ignites and it was a shower of sparks that was more then likely caused by the ignition of the aluminum in the aircraft body.

Interesting page on the thermite theory including the math involved in the amount of thermite that would be required to bring down the tower.

Well today is September 11. It's been 8 years. Personally I think some of the 9/11 conspiracies are bunk (like them questioning whether a plane really crashed over Pennsylvania since there was just a huge hole in the ground and no resembelance of a plane. Try telling that to the victims' familes!)
